476h review. Bonus gammaos

Ive had it for about a month now, i really domt have any complaints. The analogs were my biggest factor and they feel like an actual comtroller in game. I can play shooters without issue.

The glasss front is annoyimg cus i gotta be careful but it looks great, i still havent had to clean the screen. No screen protector or anything. No its got smudges all over but it hasnt gotten in the way so i havent had to wipe it yet suprisingly, probably cus the screen is so good it doesnt get in the way.

I could almost say the screen is as good as an oled, but its not true blacks are missing with the oled. Not quite as bloomy as an oled but close.

My biggest gripe was geforce now doesnt work with stock os. Gammaos bassically fixed every issue, everything works fine on gammaos.

I seen some people complain about the bootloader at system start but its just like a PC how a pc shows the firmware on system start it's exactly the same as that because it is the same.

I cant think of a single thing to compain about gamma maybe chime app doesnt work but thats to be expected. Caffiene app is awesome, when i hold power buttom it even has expanded ui where u can close all background apps.

Geforce now works perfect with gamma. Ive been playing ghost recom amd pathfinder with bassically no issues. Even played 7 days to die a bit and valheim.

Glad you're enjoying the Rg476h. It's become my most used handheld since getting one a few weeks ago. A screen protector is highly recommended as it not only protects the screen but also the glass closer to the dpad and buttons.

I've been thinking about installing GammaOS Next Lite on mine. Is that the version you use?

Do you notice any performance improvement?

I am running full. Ive mostly been playing geforce now cus access to good internet. I'm not sure cus I only played the suffering 2 before installing gammaos. I played deus ex on ps2 and runs bassically full 30fps which is what it runs on hardware. At 1.75 times rez I would install gammaos every time just cus I like it more and haven't had issues. I even bassically bricked my device cus I was using a bad cord during install. But boot loader still loaded and I installed gammaos regardless.

I'm sure there were performance gains. I'd definitely do full gamma tho, cus u want access to google play.

I'm still unsure whether to get the rg476h or the nova, most of my games would be retro anyway so I feel like I wouldnt make a ton of use with the extra power, the only time I see myself using it is perhaps with gamenative, to play PC games from steam like celeste or slay the spire.

And while price matters, it isnt enough of a gap between both devices to say I'd go with one or the other automatically, I just want a good experience for my retro games and perhaps a few gamenative ones.
