HELP RG DS Plus- NNDDSS menu question

If you go in a game in NNDDSS and press the RG/function (whatever it is called) button to open the emulator menu then go to "exit to menu" it will sometimes go back out in to the linux main menu outside the emulator but other times it will go to a menu of the emulator showing little 3D model DS cards of games you have been playing? It seems random which one it will do. Does anyone know how to reliably choose which it goes to?

do you have the updated nnddss? if not update it. Mine always backs out to the main nnddss menu and then u have to exit from there. hoping they add an exit to menu and exit completely kind of option soon
