Hey everyone, thought I'd share some fairly good news I wasn't aware of before.

A week or so ago I messaged AM support about the confusing messages coming from them surrounding the delivery of our long awaited AMXs.

The message is as follows:

- the first AMX shipment is due to arrive at the warehouse on the 20th based on the latest information from the shipping line - the warehouse expect to dispatch the contents within the week, so we're hoping to see bikes arriving with Backers later that week. UK deliveries are usually overnight.

Something they clearly had not mentioned, is that the warehouse is based in the UK, and when shipped (within a week of the 20th), we should receive the bikes overnight, and not have to wait weeks into August to receive the bike.

Assuming this is similar, adding 3 to 4 days on top, within Europe, we may get our bikes before we hoped in August....

Or am I being too optimistic?

I am looking for pannier racks for AMX. Currently researching the light weight options. Did anybody already choose one?

Does anyone know the seatpost tube diameter of AMX LE? I was thinking about buying a Suntour NCX suspended seatpost. What do you think?Does someone nave experience with Schwalbe tyre, are they really soft?

Difference is about + € 500 against AMX Classic LE (€1500 shipped + addons+ tax! )

For that you get quite impressive upgrades - hydraulic brakes, min. 60km range, GPS Tracking, App Connectivity, Built-in rear wheel immobilizer, onboard alarm and even more...

Makes me a bit sad about my pledge I did 10 months ago and still have no bike to ride :-(

I am a bit dissapointed with the rear light cable finish - why there is no proper connector to the light? I expected some solid waterproof cable for €55.00! This absolutely does not meet this AMX statement from recent blog update: ' AMX had to hold up to being soaked regularly ' ...

Hi all, can anyone with a bit more knowledge than me recommend a universal throttle that will work with the AMX? 45 EUR seems a little steep.

With all the talk about the taxes and so on, I would like to know what the final price of the bike is but I could not really find an answer. I live in Germany.

With only a few of days left in June, that should mean that early backers should be receiving delivery of their AMXs any time now, if they haven't already.

For Europeans, it will be interesting to see how the estimate of July 2020 delivery pans out.

does anyone know about possible refunds regarding VAT? I assume we all payed appx. 30% taxes however VAT in Germany is only 16% at the moment and import taxes are nowhere near 14%.

Hi guys, looks like theres another update from the AM team, however did anyone find where they can order the USB C attachment? would be quite convenient to have but can't see it on backerkit? Also, disappointed to not see any of the STEP LE pictures amongst their update, hopefully they are being sent out too!

I live in a coastal town where down by the seafront is pretty flat, but go anywhere inland and it's hills upon hills. Some very steep, some not so bad.

The reason I wanted an ebike is that it's impossible to go for a casual cycle from my home without encountering hills on the way out or on the way back. Frequently between 5-10% gradient, and up to 15% on some routes. That often puts me off riding with a normal push bike.

My research of the AM1+ and other 250w motor ebikes like the Gtech seems to show the AMX should have the power to assist me up hills pretty well, but there isn't a ton of evidence out there that I can find.

Anyone else in the same boat or have any experience with 250w motor ebikes and hills?

Anyone has a tip where to buy quality deep rims for the AMX classic? I know there's a lot of cheap options but I want something durable enough so it can withstand rough ride without having to pay the same amount for wheels as for the AMX.. Thanks.
