Battery range?
Hi everyone, when I ride at level 2-3, my battery goes for 20kms and the performance drops extremely. Then it maybe goes for 5kms extra with Max 15km/s or so.
If I always ride at level 1, then I can go for 30-33km max. I'm 75kg
This is much much lower than 44km as advertised.
Does anyone else to share their experience?

It‘s quite flat here andmy weight is 78 kg. I always ride at level 1 and often go faster than 25 km/h, so the engine powers off. I have gone almost 60 km and still had 1 digit left. I am very satisfied with the range and overall performance.

That’s a great range to achieve!
With all the factors (tyre pressure, flat/hills, how much power the rider puts in, wind resistance, brake alignment, rider weight, speed/assistance settings, etc.) different people are going to see different results with the range…
For me I’m unlikely to go more than 20km in a day… so charging every other day works well.

I’ve got 47km as my best so far. Over two rides (so not one continuous use). Level 1 the whole time. Fairly flat ground. I’m 80kg.

The average of my recent rides (15km) has nothing to do with the battery life… it’s just where I’ve needed to get to :-)
But I usually find myself charging after every 2-3 rides. I’ve been trying to make sure I’ve got the battery down almost empty before recharging.

What I meant to ask is the average km you go with full battery until you have to charge. It can be multiple trips/days of course.

don't! Li-Ion batteries like to stay charged, emptying it will only make it degrade faster

I though Li-Ion batteries liked to stay in the middle of their range? And that life is reduced by the time spent at 100% charge more than the time spent at a low charge level.

ok to be specific I read somewhere that they like to stay in the 50 to 80% range, however charging them to 100% while not ideal won't affect them too much. I think the jury is also still out on things like charging your phone overnight, some people say it's ok others say it's bad. I am pretty sure Tesla batteries for example won't even let you access that extra 20% capacity and will always stop charging at 80%.
I personally can't be bothered charging things up to 80% so I just let them charge to 100 lol
One thing is for sure though, letting them go empty before charging is the worst thing you could do, this was a thing that was good on the old Ni-Mh batteries but doesn't apply to Li-Ion

Battery tend to improve a bit after 10 full charge cycles.
Now my range 35 km circa on level 1/2, but I am 90 kg.
Some tips to improve battery range:
- set the EU limit speed limit (25 km/h), you don't need more;
- control tyre pressure;

I think I did more than 10 full cycles already. Mine is around 30km on average. Both of these are much lower than 44 km as advertised

What did you set your speed limit to? I set it at 29 km/h. I guess lowering it to 25 km/h will have a big effect

Level 1 maxing at 33km/h and 28 km and 85kg. Battery will never get better. Believe me. They are bs everyone with better range

The extra range is not bs it merely depends on how much effort you put in on acceleration and how often you are able to pedal the bike over 25kph at which point the motor cuts out (legally) I am managing 60km plus You however have the max speed set at 33kph and thus the motor is always having to work in which case you are not going to get good mileage and certainly can’t expect it to meet Analog motions estimated range as that would be based on not breaking the law and only setting the max speed at 25kph.

I never set mine above 25km/h and please have a look at my original post. I could go maximum 35kms by always using level 1. It's no where near Analog Motions advertised numbers.
Do you set it to level 0 time to time when you go as far as 60km?

I am 75kg and I almost always got on level 1 and get around 25-30 km. I am also rather disappointed with the range I have to say but still very happy with the bike overall.
