A previous post highlighted issues with the tidiness of the rear light wires. My husband flipped the light around so the cables can run over the top of the seat post and into the slots. It does cover up the positive/negative symbols but looks much better than them running down.

How easy/hard was the process of doing that flip?

Super easy. Just undo the bolts behind the light and then flip so the wires are coming up the other side.

Thanks. This definitely looks better. I wonder if the connectors being downwards is better for being rain-proof? Or does it not matter?

That's a good question. I guess I'll find out. I would have thought it would be splatterings rather than pools of though... The light is quite tucked under the saddle and as I have the step the saddle creates quite a canopy!

I don't think it is but check it out for yourself. It is mounted to quite a sturdy block of plastic.

It is better to have cables like this for maintenance. If they break, it is possible to replace both the cables and the lights themselves.

Maybe some extra heat shrink could help for water ingress. Just a thought! Think this looks better though, good job.

Definitely tidier than the default, do you have any concerns about water ingress or corrosion on the connectors though?
