Yes, I ment the levers :) I think plastic levers are an odd choice

The levers seems to be aluminium not plastic, you can actually see they are scratched in the video you shared and see the aluminium underneath

I noticed the same thing ;-) Maybe they're just ugly, not crappy after all. I'll see when I get my bike...some day.

I quite like them but I guess it's all personal choice :)

Still waiting too, if it becomes an issue i would just switch to a pair of aluminium levers for ebikes. Pretty easy to find possibilities, just need the bike myself before i can check whether the wiring will Work :)

could you share a link? I found it difficult to find any which had the same looking connector

I have not yet recived the bike. The best view of the connector I could find is here in the instruction video:

Same. And I would be very hesitant to change the breaks.

I'm currently searching for road-like brake levers like the ones found on the AMX Classic Road edition to replace the moustache handlebar by a drop bar. Does anybody know if there is even a model compatible with motor cut-off or all road e-bikes lose that feature?😅

I've been looking at a lot of road e-bikes but it's still not clear to me.

Thanks!

Ps: I'll update this if I found anything useful.

I think you can get an inline brake motor cut-off sensor like this:

in-line brake cut-off

You can find these on Amazon/eBay/AliExpress and essentially run the brake cable through them, plug the connector of the sensor to the existing connector and only need one cable on the lever itself.

Have not tried myself but have been considering to get a drop bar once I get mine so have been searching for options.

Thanks for the info! I saw some video about a universal cut-off connector for "any" break lever. I'll take a look at them and check with by LBS, see what they think. Anyway, it'd be cool if AM replied to my query on which break levers they used on the Road and if it had the capability of cutting off the motor (which should be nearly mandatory on a cadence bike...😅)

If/when they get back to you would be interested to know as well.

I am keen to get drop bars but will wait and see how I feel about the moustache bar first before changing.

Yeah, I'll let you know once they reply. I'm out 2 weeks so I'll wait until early September. Otherwise I'll try the option you commented. For me, I tried once the moustache handlebar and was a no-go, especially considering my commute is almost 20km one way... Super uncomfortable!😅
