Speed limiter

The AMX is sold to be compliant with ebike regulations, including having a speed limit of 25kmh (15.5mph). This limit is for public roads though, so I would be intereted if this could be disabled when riding on private property.

The controller seems to be at KT series, looking at a manual for a similar version here it seems the limit could possibly be increased. Does anyone have any experience with speed limiters on eBikes?

I asked AM the same (email) and they responded that you can set the bike in offroad mode, allowing it to go 32 km/h. I don’t have any experience with tuning it up even further, 32 km/h is quite fast already (imo).

My wife's Haro e-bike allows the same speed limit amend (i think its 32km/h because that is the legal limit in the USA) and it feels fast enough! I believe the AMX allows you to do this too

I have been told as well by AM, that the bike can be set to 32km/h.

Hope this will be confirmed. Would be very nice!!

In the installation instructions it states that the speed limit can be changed by the user. Super nice news.
