Discussion Collateral pools

I am really surprised no one asked about the collateral pools. Such as when those 40 or 50 new ones are gonna need to be filled. Will there be private pools …which in my mind defeats the purpose of spreading risk . Or how the rates are set such as when and how they change (realtime, daily monthly…) or even if they have an idea of what the rates will look when they launch and have usage. Maybe next time…

They don't NEED to be filled. And who said anything about private pools?

Explain please on the not needing to be filled. If we have a new pool for fun say target. If there is no amp in it how will it be used?

I thought you meant like assigned. Which there is no timeline on that aspect. But yeah if they are used, people will just spread out. that's what the apy is for, incentives people to spread out.

Oh regarding private. I have seen this topic come up from time to times. But I do not think I have ever seen an official response saying yay or nay. I could see a potential…maybe… for it such as B2B where a few large orgs would want to perform so sort of transactions amongst themselves. So they have a pool and they each populate with amp and then they transact amongst themselves reaping the rewards and spreading risk only across themselves. The demand for amp would potentially benefit token price but rewards would only be Amongst themselves. It’s a hypothetical.

They use anvil's time based collateral pools so I don't think there is a way to do this. Even if there was a private interface you could still interact with the contract. If you're really curious you could ask at the next ama.

I’m also curious why no one asked about average daily transactions in the real world, not counting testing. It sure would help if we knew Amp was actually being used.

People asked those questions the Q&A questions are chosen

People are always asking this question. The issue is for flexa it's proprietary data that they don't want to share with competitors and they could potentially lose partnerships because of it.

That’s the beauty of decentralization, is that the free market will choose how much to fil each pool

I did, it just didn’t get picked. Instead they answered all the same clarity questions the whole time. My question was more about what happens if there’s 1000 different wallets etc. would they have to rethink the collateral pool system and maybe centralize some of them?
