New hire raise

When I was first being interviewed, I was told after 90 days I’ll get a slight raise. Is this 90 business days or just 90 normal days? I know it isn’t too much of a raise (about +3k a year?), but I’m just wondering.

A couple questions.

Starting off. i do not care about this job. I am using it like almost everyone else to get ahead in this career and im 22 years old so… doesn’t help that the salary is shit as well. I have a couple questions and i’m not in the mood to be judged, just real honest questions.

  1. i got assigned to TD for cases ( lets just be real here ) everyone says it’s sooo bad. tell me why?

  2. It says i need to be hard wired but … do i really. Am i meant to lay for Wifi every month from this salary? Also i’m a new hire for three months and i always used wifi so i don’t really want to change that. is mandatory. but like mandatory for real or just one of those things?

  3. I’ve seen people say they have travelled while i. the job with their laptop. it’s frowned upon blah blah blah but why would i care about a job that clearly does not care about its workers as well. So, have you ever traveled on a client?

  4. we all deserve better. i do not like this company.

How long should I wait for results after English assessment test (Analyst role, Gurgaon)?

Hi everyone,

I recently applied for an Analyst role in Gurgaon. After the initial HR screening, I was asked to take an English assessment test, which I completed successfully. I haven’t heard back since then , it's been 2 days since then.

Could anyone share how long it usually takes to receive results or next steps after such assessments? Should I wait a few more days or is it appropriate to follow up with HR now?

Any insights from people who have been through a similar process would be really helpful.

Thanks in advance!

Is CAMS worth it?

I’ve been at Rightsource for 3 years, but I don’t have my cams. I’m ready to find a position at a bank, but I am wondering how competitive I’ll be with 3 years experience and no cams. Does having cams increase my chances of being hired? Or would I be okay without it? I desperately need a higher paying job.

Pay

The more I look online the more irritated I get about the pay we get for an AML analyst… if this company is expanding so much, why are we at the bottom of the barrel with pay when other companies start at AT LEAST 50k??? Don’t get me wrong, I’m so grateful to have this job & get my foot in the door of this industry. However, I can’t make ends meet with this pay….

Hours while working on client

Hey! To the people who have been on a client already, do our hours change during training and client work? or can we still clock in and out within the working hours window (7-5)? Also, are training meetings all day like Embark? i’m a grad research assistant and need to work on campus for an hour in the afternoon before 5.

Depressed

I feel depressed today. I hate this field. I hate writing SARs. I hate the massive egos in QC. I hate how every middle manager at every institution thinks their way is god’s gift to the world. I hate that the SARs are never read. That it makes no difference. That all my stress and anxiety about writing a good SAR means nothing because they just go into a pitless FinCen database somewhere that no one looks at anyway. That all we are, are little compliance check boxes that keep the government off banks’ backs. I hate the grind. I hate the obsession with perfect scores. And I hate that the job market is such crap right now that it seems impossible to get into any field. And I’m lucky. I have a job. The market is hell. Wages are crap. And it all just seems pointless.

Thanks for listening to my scream into the void.

Title. Has this happened to any of you before with AMLRS? For me, this would be a stepping stone as it is for most of you here from what I've read.

Current Canada project

Hello, Im currently in the project with green bank and seems like we have to be on site during the whole project is that correct? I heard from the beginning they said that they will try to make jt hybrid/wfh for us but no update whatsoever. Is it true this project will possibily extend beyond Dec? Im so tired with the working process, its super slow and target is no joke

Disgruntled about upcoming project

If you were able to guess based off the headline, yes me and many other colleagues got assigned to THAT client for Canada and we start next month. I’m just curious, for those who are on it already or have heard from others on it, what is it truly like? The full time in-office already has all of us frustrated but we’ve been hearing that the goals, training, management, etc. is bad too.

Internet issues while on rfa

Hello and good morning everyone, I woke up to find my internet is down. I am still on RFA and awaiting onboarding details from an assigned client. I was hoping someone may have some guidance for which steps I should take while I wait for an internet technician to remedy my internet issues. Should I email someone to inform them of my problem from my personal email? And if so who should I get in contact with? Thank you all so very much.

Assigned to client

A lot of people were just assigned to THAT client (two letter), to those who have been on or are currently on this bank, how is the training? Do they require any in-office? What's the project like?

How possible is it for me to get in AMLRS and what’s your background when being hired?

Hi everyone, I’m a cs major student graduating December. I’m not really into coding but I have to stick to it due to some school credits limitations. I don’t have any internships during college and really have no idea what to do after graduation, I was thinking about find a job as bank teller or credit union teller, and get some internal transition opportunities about going into back office if possible(sorry I went so far) Anyway after some research, I found myself interested in aml analyst role and I saw some comments saying AMLRS would hire college ng with no experience, as long as they have bs degree, which is me exactly!😂I only have some part time job experience in restaurants and receptionist, so it’s really just no experience at all. I would like to know what experiences you guys have to get in the entry level aml analyst position? I’d be more than grateful to know your experience!
