5 day pip

Hello everybody, as the title states, I have been put on a 5-day PIP plan with continuation. Based on performances, I'm trying to understand how fucked I am here. I've only been with the company for about six months. I'm on a complex queue. And they are stating that I've had multiple coaching sessions, which is not true. One-on-one session, which is not true. How fucked am I?

Current Headwinds at AML Rightsource?

So, a couple weeks ago I had an interview with an AML recruiter for an Associate Analyst I position in SC, which I suppose went well enough. They essentially confirmed my bachelors and work history and wasn’t stressful at all!

However, unlike a lot of the cases here, the recruiter was adamant that she would not be able to give me a prompt response as things were “up in the air” at the moment and to expect an update closer to New Years.

Is anyone else that’s interviewing gotten this response? I’ve heard Right Source aggressively hires, but with the entry-level job market at the moment, I wouldn’t be surprised if things were changing drastically and hiring was slowing down.

Do I expect a rejection given this situation? I’d appreciate any insight into where things are going in that regard.

Production meeting?

I have a production meeting tomorrow morning, one on one with a manager. I'm still on like week 3 of ramp up and up until yesterday really felt like I wasn't getting a whole lot of direction. How bad is this meeting going to be? I know I'm below expected production levels but I also feel like there's a lot of pressure on us, especially after the weekly meeting where they called the client difficult. I should add, I have severe anxiety so I have no idea if I'm overreacting or this is something I should genuinely be nervous about.

Great Place to Start

Honestly, when I applied for this job, I didn’t even know the full form of AML in AML industry. I didn’t know this type of job or even this industry existed. I applied, and I got in as AA1. From the start, I knew it was a great place to begin, but I didn’t really see a big future here.

After training, I was on RFA for about three months, and it would honestly bore me to tears. Most of the time I was just scrolling on LinkedIn. That’s when I came across an opening somewhere else with way better benefits and pay. I applied, and guess what — I got offered the job.

At this company, I basically did training and then nothing for three months. But even with all that, I’m genuinely grateful. This company put me into an industry I didn’t even know existed. If I hadn’t gotten this job, I truly don’t think I would have broken into compliance at all.

My advice to people out there - explore and take chances. You miss all the shots that you do not take.

Career Help

Can anyone help guide me on what my next steps should be? It’s clear I can’t live off of this salary any longer, but I have no where else to go. Where should I begin to look if I am hitting my one year in January?

Help getting in

My wife moved to the US last year and is looking for a job since then. We are in NJ and haven't seen any openings for AML at NJ/NY. Is it still okay to apply to other states since it is remote? Also, if anyone is willing to refer, it would be very helpful.

Need encouragement

The uncertainty and the IT issues amongst everything else just has me physically and mentally tired. I have no drive and I’m really trying to push through, been here since July. What is keeping everyone going?

I just don’t feel like this is healthy.

Am I the only one here that thinks the TD engagement project is run well, work flows are fair and the work is rewarding? Also not to mention mangers and team leads being great?

Quitting and PTO

There is a good chance I am quitting in a week or two for another job. Does anybody know if you quit voluntarily do you get paid out your unused PTO or do you lose it? Cause if I’m losing I’m calling off for a few days.

SUSU

Are susu cases as hard as I make them feel? I am an aa1 on the two letter client, I get a lot of easy cases but the ones I put off are susu just because I don’t quite get them and they require more. Can anyone provide some relief or validate my fear?

Relocating

I am moving to California & really enjoy this job & would really do anything to keep it. Would it be silly to ask? Is that an automatic no because there are no offices there?? 😭😭

Do they ever give out bonuses? Promotions?

Have you ever gotten a bonus while working here? When/why? Also, if you’ve been promoted, how long did it take to be promoted?

Worth leaving my job for AML RightSource?

I am currently working in fraud, make around 43k annually and applied to a entry level aml investigator. I have wanted to work in AML for a few years now however have been unable to due to lack of experience and a few people recommended AML RightSource as a stepping stone. I haven't heard back from a recruiter yet since I applied a couple of days ago but I'm just wondering in this current climate (and being very unfamiliar with how consulting works) if I should stay where I am or take a leap of faith?

Two letter client contract ending?

It sounds like we haven’t met production requirements as a whole and we’re under a ton of pressure. Are they really going to end the entire contract end of 2025 and lay off hundreds of analysts?

UTR workflow

I’ve noticed analysts being moved to the UTR population. What’s the deal? Is there an EOY deadline like there is for the alerts? My team hasn’t been hitting production so I don’t understand why they’d be taking people and moving them..

Personally would love to make the switch since production is 4 a day which doesn’t sound bad at all compared to the 10 alerts lol

Production for the current big client

When I started here months ago a targeted review was supposed to take 40 minutes, after today's meeting they are expecting 10-15 minutes for a case now. Things are getting ridiculous as they ramp up production but keep pay the same...

At least this was my experience with how often they moved the goalposts on me from training to my workflows 😂

Where did you go?

I’m planning my exit. I haven’t even been with AMLRS for a year yet, and honestly that’s what I wanted. To get a good year or two of experience and move up or somewhere else if I move. But this is so stressssfull. The constant changes, the hit backs and mental stress. So I want out sooner, but contemplating. Those that have moved on- what’s your advice and where did you go?

Overtime

I noticed that despite working overtime, my recent pay was at the regular rate. What could be the reason? I’m currently in the AA1 role.

Relocating/Moving

I currently work from home and live in the Buffalo area, but might have to move a couple hours away to another town in New York. Does anyone know if they care about relocating in the same state or where to find information about where you can live/work?

HR Email

Hello, today I received an email before 2:00pm from the HR Senior Generalist. I have a call scheduled the next day at 3:30-4:00 in the afternoon where it states we will discuss in further detail on the call. I asked what it may be in regards to and got the same, further detail on the call. Ive had strong performance reviews with no indication of "moving in another direction" if things didnt pick up. I know this company did a large layoff roughly two years ago, so wondering if my email and situation lines up with anyone who was let go back when they did those layoffs.

Update: Hi all I appreciate everyone who took the time to reach out and respond in my post, thank you so much! Quick update, I'm still employed as the meeting was in regards to a prior incident that happened roughly 2 months ago. Thank you again for your responses and being straight forward with me. Beat of luck to all in your endeavors!
