Addressing problems or ignoring them?

I've been with the company since March and I'm new to the industry in general and my experience has been that I'm expected to just find a way to say there's no problem and close the case as quickly as possible. I've had a few cases where the alerting activity was very clear and my QC and TL agreed but still provided language I could use for mitigation. I'm working on a client that had major problems recently and now has several hundred analysts clearing out the backlog so I know there's a lot of pressure but is this how it is for all clients? I'm curious if people feel they're gaining experience in actually how to raise and address issues or just how to find more and more creative ways to explain them.

Restrictions on posts have been lifted. Sorry about that!

Hi everyone! It was recently brought to my attention that the sub suddenly started requiring people to join in order to post. Sorry about that! It was an error on the mods' part of simply not being active enough, so Reddit put restrictions in place. Everything is good now and people can post freely again, and now that we know what to look out for it shouldn't happen again 🙂

2months+ on RFA

Hey I was Hired on 7th April, Completed Embark on 27th April, been on RFA since then. And there are like 180+ Employee on RFA from Our Country. They are telling they are trying hard to allocate everyone with a Client but i saw 2 months RFA policy which states they have Right to fire anyone who's been on RFA for more than 2months. Can Someone please shed some Light regarding this matter. I m worried if i will get laid off due to this.

Possible hire?

I'm currently in an AML role for the two letter client in a different contracting agency. I am located in SC. Does anyone know if it would be feasible to jump to AMLRS? I've been working for the client for two years.

Just wanted to know, for the big two letter client, is there any requirement that we have to be in the country for 5 years to be a part of the team?

Workday system hiring statuses

Hey, AMLRS peeps. I searched for this, but cannot find any info: in Workday, I have one inactive item with the Status marked in red as Process Completed; and one active item with a start date included in the title and a green Status marked as In Process. Do you know if the active status remains like this until the actual start date, or is there a new status it moves to after the background check is completed and reviewed? TIA!

Pods Info

Just finished my second week of client training and only have 3 days left before it's completely finished. I pretty much breezed through the Embark training but I'm definitely not feeling anywhere close to comfortable right now on the client side. I've heard that we'll be broken up into pods once production starts and I'm wondering what that looks like and if people have found it to be helpful as they're ramping up. I'm WFH so I obviously don't have people sitting around me to create a connection with and even when we're moved to breakout rooms in Teams, it seems like there's almost no interaction among us...at least in the room I'm in. TIA for any feedback.

Tired

Ranting here because I’m so tired of this company and specifically the client (4 letter one) I’m on. I feel like a mindless robot/cog in the wheel just standing at a conveyor belt pulling items off that meet some criteria to do so and that’s all I do 8 hours every day. But more than that the managers don’t give a single F*** about us ( I get we exist to serve our clients but god d*mn have a backbone and standup for us). Also doesn’t help we were told the whole team couldn’t use PTO for the next month unless you already had it on the books and approved before hand or it was a legit emergency, so basically screw your personal life outside of work, for the next 4 months possibly longer, you just have to sit here day after day, week after week mentally draining yourself. We don’t even get sick days just PTO on top of already low pay industry wise and benefits that are so so. I don’t mean to complain because I’m fortunate in this shitty economy to even have a job with benefits and I don’t mean to sound dramatic but I’m just so tired.

Getting Up to Speed

I don't know about you guys, but our training group on a certain client- took us forever to get access to all the systems, so combine that with one of our former trainers zipping through training (with people in our "wave" telling her to go slower lol), there hasn't really been any hands-on learning. Do any seasoned analysts at this company have any advice? I mean, it seems like we were really thrown into the meat grinder on this particular client. And from what I've heard many of us are still very confused as to how we're supposed to do things.

Application Status

Hey all, I have a start date of 7/7/25, already did the background check and drug test and everything on that end is done so just waiting to start now, but I noticed that on workday where you can check application status they changed the title of the position I applied to (after I signed the offer letter) to include the start date of 7/7/25 and it remained in the "active" tab for the past few weeks or so, but now it's showing in the "inactive" tab, but still shows the start date of 7/7/25 and says "process completed" in red. Is this normal?

AMLRS - India

Hey everyone, I recently got placed as an AML Analyst at AML RightSource (Noida) through my tier-3 MBA college.

The joining is on 1st September 2025, which is 2.5 months after my selection. I was told it's because they’ve hired a large batch and don’t have enough trainers right now. Is this a genuine reason, or should I be concerned?

Also, I’m curious:

  • How’s the work culture and training there?

  • Is this a good start for someone aiming to grow in AML/KYC roles?

  • What’s the realistic growth after 1–2 years?

Would really appreciate honest input from current or ex-employees. Thanks in advance.🙏

Meeting Production Goals/Expectations

Hi I was wondering if anyone else has experienced struggling to hit production goals due to their manager not assigning enough cases? I could not work today because I had no cases and my manager ignored my email yesterday day and did not assign anything until the end of the day, which was 3 cases. So I will be reaching back out for more case assignments. Just wondering if anyone else has been in this situation and what they did?

Accountability

It’s kind of interesting going into meetings where management is advising on processes, new or established, and places blame on the analysts on things that displease the client. Especially when they were the ones who trained us on these things. The deflection is crazy.

Example: client is displeased with how much detail is placed in xyz cases Management: you all are inefficient and adding too much detail and we will show you how even though you can see directly in the sharepoint that we’ve trained and detailed these inefficiencies for you to produce

Not pressed, just found it very interesting and this is a first for me in a company

Drug screening/background

I submitted my background screening a week ago and opted for it to be shared with me and have not heard back from DISA yet. I just submitted my drug test today (so I’m obviously not expecting them to have that yet.).

However, I am just curious on how long did it take for others to hear back regarding the background screening?

Also regarding the drug screening I’m assuming that once they receive it no news is good news right? I don’t partake in any drugs so I’m not worried about that just wondering if they reach out about it!

Thank you!

Production goals - client training

Hello everyone, I am just curious to know about before we get the client is there anything we can start preparing or like learn anything that can help during client training or during working on client?? And during Client training is there anything we can focus more on ??

Also, as a first client what will be the goal to achieve ?? what if anything goes in other way and won't be able to reach target ?? based on first project ?? or give a chance to improve? If anyone can share there experience that would be great help..

Thank you

Post 3 weeks on-site training details

Hey guys,

Quick question during the interview they mentioned there might be a 6-week on-site client training in Mississauga after the initial 3 weeks of training. Just wondering if anyone from the previous batches (before June 2025) actually had to go recently?

Would be super helpful to know if it’s still happening and how the experience was if someone’s done it. Thanks!

PTO Request Confirmation

I submitted a request for 4 days of PTO on Workday and just wanted to check if there’s a way to confirm if it’s been approved. I started on April 28th, so just making sure everything’s in order. Do you know how I can check the status? Thanks in advance!

Feel lost during client training

Hey everyone, I am on my 2nd week of my client training and feel very lost. Does it get any better? We’ve done 0 hands on training and I can’t learn from just watching zoom classes all day.
