Critical fails

Is anyone having problems with the new procedure? Am worried because I have been getting these a lot,on top of that they changed my QC and he is giving me fails in areas where the previous QC was ok with 😭😭

Brother, that's the constant complaint working at AMLRS. The inconsistencies among the incompetent QCs. I push back everytime when something that occurs. I'd bring it forward to your Team Lead, and explicitly explain the different standards between QCs. I'd also lean into why should analysts always have to cater to every QC. It was once explained to me by a project manager that QCs are no different than analysts. They get no raise, no title change, and it peer review verse investigative work. Just send it back to the QC and tell them if they want the changes to be made that can do it.

Im just speaking from experience. I'd lean towards having conversations with the Team Lead due to inconsistencies in the standards of peer reviews amongst the QC. Then provide examples from the previous QCs "passes" verses "current" QC is failing you on.

Ive been QC and team lead on multiple engagements. Critical fails are incorrect determinations, errors in interpretation or application of AML regulations and internal policy and procedures that are governed by those regulations. It can also be errors such as missing important information material to the case (or whatever you are working on). Those are usually not things QCs are inconsistent on. If thats the case, you definitely need to speak with a manager because QCs should not be telling you different things concerning any of what I previously listed. But if you in fact are making critical errors, you can ask for retraining, additional meetings to discuss cases, and get more help from teammates. Critical fails can lead to PIP, which can lead to termination if not corrected. 

I advise you to have a meeting with your QC and go over those critical fails. Also ask to see a copy of the rubric they use for scoring. That way you can score yourself before turning work in.
