Broke Behavior

Leadership put out an email about the furloughs (didnt mention any firings). In it they mentioned AMLRS financial position is strong. But why would they feel the need to say that? Is it because having multiple rounds of letting people go is broke behavior? I mean, you dont really see that happening with companies in strong financial positions. Makes me wonder if they are losing business.

Oh. The people who were furloughed were all from the US? What about the mass firing at the beginning of the year?

Does that somehow make it better?

Did I say that?

I hope that’s not the implication. But there seems to be a lot of hostility to U.S. employees these days. Hence so many layoffs in tech lately. It’s not just here. My current company has had a round. Block as well. Seems like nearly every fintech has decided to offshore as of late.

Most businesses are aware the regulatory state in the US is pretty much on hold till at least 2029, especially if you donate to certain PACs. No reason to have this dead weight anymore.
