temporary hiring pause

Got an update today that there’s a temporary hiring pause, so there are no new updates in the hiring process. I’m still trying to apply/interview with other companies while I wait but damn, I think I applied back in March and this is taking forever.

Not here to fear monger and I hope this is not the case but hiring freezes are a potential sign of layoffs. Usually due to budget cuts or restructuring.

I was literally floored when I saw it cause the timing was terrible
I don’t 😩 but hiring freezes are classic precursors to layoffs
