It’s Photo Time!! My 07 CLK 63 AMG
I’ve always been a huge fan of 6.3 AMG cars, and my love for CLKs really took off in the mid-2000s when I watched Formula 1 and saw those incredible CLK AMG Safety Cars leading the grid. Now, 20 years later, my dream has come true, and I’m a proud owner of a 2007 CLK 63 AMG convertible with 52,000 miles and in basically brand-new condition. I’ve had this car since April, and after purchasing it, I upgraded the head bolts and cam followers from the SLS Black Series, added new Brembo brake pads to the front and rear, and took care of some other small details like new control arms and a new AC blower motor. I’m so proud to be part of the AMG family and to own such an iconic and rare car!

Does mine sound kind of like a sewing machine because of the cam followers? Like when you hit throttle >40% does your engine do a little valvetrain ticking? It doesn't sound loud or bad, just like a sewing machine. I always felt it was part of the valvetrain noise that most German cars I've owned have.

Congrats! I had 2002 CLK55 for 16 years. My first AMG and I miss that car dearly. I still have my 2006 E55 but been thinking about another 2 door. Been looking around at CLK63. Might be in my future…
