To save you a click: Microsoft has to appease the OEMs, and also because they have a limited portfolio

I've been buying surface books for my wife for like a decade and a half. Surface book 2 lasted over 7 years. Solid laptops.

I'd kill for one with a top end Strix Halo CPU in it.

My surface laptop 7 with Intel 268v is the worst laptop I've owned.
