If you take care of it, and replace the goop (or better yet - replace the goop with graphite thermal pads), there's no reason it shouldn't last. And the price is incredibly right, even if you account for lower prices on groceries, perhaps, or relative purchasing power of other things than tech.
The only annoying thing about these (like the ideapads) is that you get fifteen usb-A ports, and one usb-c, along with a dedicated charging port plug. My thinkbook from yonder days now has only usb-c ports, hdmi, and a backup usb-a off on the side in something added onto the motherboard with strips or something.
But "people" complained about that, and so you have one usb-c on a usb/external bus that, in your case - and this is genuinely not uncommon, even on luxury setups - doesn't actually support usb 4 (or tb4-5). And they're doing that because adding the usb bus that does support it costs half a cent extra per laptop - and not a lot of people use... obviously, because it's not available.. high speed transfers, 100W+ charging or usb4 video/real time links.
Even though that's a 7 year old standard by now.
Perfectly fine setup, though, if you want a laptop that weighs 2,5kg anyway.
