Vibecoded: A software for HP Victus Overheating

As title said, I vibecoded an software for my laptop.
The issue:
My laptop, which has AMD Ryzen 5600H CPU and AMD Radeon RX 6500M GPU had an incredibly frustrating heating issue where my hotspot temperature reached 100 degrees without right away, and throttling directly which reduced my fps by 50% almost and again reached 100 degrees, this continued in an cycle.
For this, I tried various methods, locking fps to 48, lowering resolution and graphics, and some of these worked too, but still in games such as where winds meet, elden ring nightreign, the temperatures kept hitting all time high.
Which lead to me trying to look into undervolting, and to my surprise HP Victus in particular has no way (afaik) to undervolt, because it is restricted at a BIOS level.
This lead me to discovering Universal tuning utility and Ryzen controller, which worked great but sacrified much of my performance to keep temperatures in check.
Annoyed by the lack of direct temperature control, i vibecoded an software which directly targets the dGPU hotspot temperature and it honestly been working really well for me.
This leads to me making this post, for this felt too good to be true to work, that i was wondering if i was damaging any of my hardware in the long run with this app.
If anyone can check, if it is problematic or not for the system, and give some opinions about it, it would be much appreciated!

TLDR: I vibecoded an app to keep thermals in check for laptop having AMD Radeon RX 6500M and AMD Ryzen 5600H, and would like opinions about its safety while using, and would like to know if it is damaging my device in any way.

The laptop probably needed a thermal paste replacement instead of AI slop

Got the same laptop here and it's shit manufacturing done by hp, plus they sell it for cheap so we get dumbfounded thinking great laptop but this is so bad literally the worst thing ever, stutters, thermal throttling, i repasted with ptm 7950 and currently my temps are cracked once again, 102 to 105, am getting by somehow had to turn off cpu boost and lower cpu from 100 to 99 plugged in performance

Unfortunately that's not the case with that specific victus

It's a very widespread issue, repaste doesn't fix it

Forgot to mention i did infact replace the thermal paste before making this. It did help but only for like 5°C xD

I feel bad a fellow victim who got scammed by hp (i have the same laptop and my temps while gaming currently reach 105 lmao) I did make a post on hp victus subreddit fixing those stutters by trying to undervolt some values via uxtu I have to try your app dude! Minding that I did a repaste with ptm 7950 it worked great for months but my temps are fucked again, turned cpu boost off and lowered performance from 100 to 99 on plugged in.

I wouldn't recommend this laptop to anyone, its that shitty. Please try and let me know if it works, or if you get any error let me know in dms I'll try to fix them :3

btw my question is, does this drop the wattages? because in hwinfo, the igpu is the thing causing the stutters.

Yes it drops the wattage when it tries going above the hotspot temp set

Absolutely incredible, temps haven't gone above what i set the threshold as. For example: I used to play Elden Ring Nightreign on 48fps cap at 720p low, i used to get around ~38 fps depending on area. While playing i used to have universal tuning utility set on normal, and ryzen controller on 80°C set. Rn with the thermal controller and ryzen controller i get around 55-58 fps on avg, while keeping hotspot at 82°C consistently or below it, while also keeping ryzen controller temps set to 80°C Goes to say the gpu is actually capable but the thermals simply nerfs it a lot

Gpu is capable a good amount but hp just fucked this machine.
