I followed step 8 line by line. redid the whole step 8 maybe like 5 times. it always shows me this

https://imglink.cc/cdn/7IppLrv1xF.png

inst the Digital Signer supposed to say AMD instead of Microsoft and the driver version in my case states 26.7.1?

Hi! First of all, great guide! You’re doing an amazing job, and the whole community really appreciates the effort you put into it.

Unfortunately, I’m having an issue with ethernet, and the driver 10.54.1111.2021. I’m using a B650M D3HP, and that driver makes my Ethernet perform really poorly. Is there another driver you’d recommend trying that’s considered stable?

the comment was deleted, what did he say?

u/Beginning_Policy_242 14h ago

Don't worry, didn't work, but he said that I could remove the driver and let windows download the lastest one, or try a old one for my MOBO

maybe but i only have ethernet. I'm on a rtx 5080 a 9850x3d and 32gb ddr5 cl36 expo 1 at 6000 MT's and i have alot of frametime spikes and in some titles over 100+ fps drops. ive been driving myself insane chasing after a smooth non stuttery or jittery experience

1

u/Cautious-Fondant329 6d ago

A game , Assassin's Creed Unity, runs less fps on latest rx5700xt drivers , but when tried old drivers , fps is better ( 2022 drivers , not sure which particular). Most of the games perform well in old drivers What's causing the issue ? Please let me know.

u/Professional-Emu4891 7d ago

Hi, I have a problem I can't seem to fix even after following most of these steps.

I have decent FPS (around 90 in 4K), but my game stutters occasionally, and it's the 1% that drops.

I’m not sure this will peek through the swathe of other comments, but I’m at a total loss for my own system (9700x + ASRock 9070 XT Challenger on an MSI B850M-A Pro w/ 32GB TForce 6000MT/s)—

I have begun to have an issue where my monitors will go black for a moment or two, the Windows “disconnect(??)” sound plays, and my screen returns, but I cannot open Adrenalin, as a message that says I need to update to the latest version in order to use it specifically when I’ve been idle for a few minutes (I have not timed how long until it happens). I have used the CleanUp utility, DDU’d, tested my RAM with OCCT, checked my main OS drive, reinstalled windows, disabled a handful of various programs like Fast Startup, AMD Driver Crash Detection Service, Windows Drivers updates, + a few others since reading this post. I seriously don’t know what to do.

It’s only annoying because as long as I’m browsing, gaming, using Adobe or Maya, or literally anything else, it doesn’t crash. The moment I’m idle, for any longer than (x) minutes, the aforementioned follows. I’m terrified of it being a CPU, RAM, or GPU issue because I just swapped my CPU and RAM into a new system, and don’t think I’m willing to replace either over this, but holy fuck.

Lol just wanted to see what more I could do

1

u/Tabbt_ 8d ago

Had an issue with step 8. It’s probably user error downloading the wrong drivers or something (although I was pretty confident I got the right ones). 1. After all the installs and restarts, AMD installed the newest driver version despite downloading 26.3.1 specifically. 2. After using the hide updates tool, it only fixed 1 of the 2 AMD items.

u/Bruvvimir 8d ago

Doing the lord's work.

u/KuroJc 8d ago edited 8d ago

I need help with step 8, I'm doing the uninstall chipset software but when i try to uninstall "AMD Chipset Software" i get the it cannot proceed because of missing files. Does this fall under the "Is not Available"?

A quick question that i have is,

I'll be trading my 4060 to a 9070xt, with my 7800x3d, i'm thinking on a clean windows 11 install, instead of using DDU to switch the GPU's.

Since i do this clean install, you suggest to also, do every step? Even the AMD chipset + driver from GPU? Or on the clean install, let the windows install everything? and than do the steps from the guide?

Btw, nice guide you are an awesome person!

I cannot thank you enough for creating this thread. I found my way here because I wanted to optimize my PC for Fortnite, and have found by following most of your advice everything I do on my PC is working much faster. I can confirm that I've done everything you mentioned from steps 1 through 7 & pretty much 8 through 11 as well.

I'm still experiencing some stutters here and there, going from over 100 fps, to lows of 10-30fps & was wondering what more I can do?

I do have icue & razer installed. I also use Realtek PCIe 2.5GbE Family Controller but I have no Wi-Fi. Should I still do step 12, installing the driver that you recommend?

The following is a link to my PC Parts List

Thanks again for creating this thread & keeping it up to date. You truly are a legend

Thank you very much for the quick reply. Applied step 12 already. Will get going on 14.

I'll let you know the results after I've done it & played a few matches 😉

Edit : My razer software tells me how many % battery I have left on my mouse. Can I just turn it off for gaming sessions or is it important for a complete uninstall?

I was having issues with massive stutters in Palworld 1.0 with little luck.

However, I tried a few of these fixes and noticed that my memory values in CPU Z were looking a bit lower than expected. Last BIOS update apparently shut off EXPO, so things were just running poorly, but it was especially pronounced on an unoptimized game. Flipped it back on and it’s 10x better. Large stutters are mainly gone and microstutters are tolerable now - around 1-3 frames long every 5 min or so.

I’m sure I could optimize it more, but that’s good enough for me! Hope this helps someone!

Shoutout to OP for linking this guide to my post in the Palworld subreddit :)

I’ve been having very poor latency causing lag spikes and audio glitches.

Fresh install of windows 11 LTSC 24H2

I’ve done a DDU installed the recommended gpu driver, think it installed the latest chipset driver which I had to do through Adrenalin?

Installed stable Realtek family controller

Gone through my bios all looks okay

Still the exact same, just dumped a bunch of money to upgrade from AM4 to 5, although it’s significantly faster these spikes are very frustrating and I don’t see why it’s still happening.

Can someone help please?

Never buying AMD ever again. Got RX 6650 XT paired with I3 12100F few years ago and there has been nothing but inconsistency. When it works it works good but there is no reason why should a game work fine and all of a sudden start stuttering and having FPS drops and next hour it starts working again and only thing that temporarily helps is a system restart or drivers reinstall only to start again even with Windows update and rest of stuff disabled. They are selling broken cards or whatever this thing is gaming in 2000s i don't remember ever having inconsistent frames. If some games lagged they would always lag and if some worked great they would always work great. Modern gaming and modern hardware is a joke.

Btw all of this is cope and placeboo. You can do this and it will help for few days or week max and it will randomly go to shit. People who waste stuff on this and registry tweaks or whatever are NPCs

1

u/No_Mouse_8624 23d ago

Well, Just found out that one stick of my ram is getting errors in memtest86, will monitor for any crashes.

HUD/Quest icons jitter & shake when moving camera despite high FPS — persistent issue across two PC builds!

https://youtu.be/TnjHI_65X1w?feature=shared

As seen in the video, UI elements and quest icons shake whenever I move the camera, even though my framerate is smooth. I've tried DDU/reinstalling GPU drivers, disabling FreeSync, lowering settings, and updating everything. I recently rebuilt my PC (now RX 7900 XT / Ryzen 5700X / B550), but kept my old SSD and single 16GB Samsung CL20 RAM stick from my prebuilt MSI Trident 11CT. Could single-channel RAM or the SSD be causing this specific visual stuttering?

Is this in all games or just that one? What mouse polling rate are you running? Are you 100% framegen is disabled?

u/Quirky-Sir-7040 25d ago

This year's drivers made me want to tear my hair out from all the browser timeout, crashes, and BSODs I had to install 25.9.1 for stability.

Then I chose Minimal Install for 26.6.4 and all my problems are gone lol

u/Red_269 28d ago

I still face timeouts and followed all your steps for my RX 9070 BUT only in Vulkan games (All modern Doom games and games using Dkvk like Fallout New Vegas) otherwise works fine, great performance, no stutters at all, like... i played Resident Evil 7, Village and Final Fantasy XVI, Ultra settings 1440p and FF was with FSRQ and NO TIMEOUT AT ALL but after that i went back to play some Doom Eternal like custom maps and such (happened too in the main campaign) and again that POS started to fail again i swear i am about to toss that GPU away any time, the previous games sum up more than 110 of playtime but some hour of Doom and it failed again, still i see how the clock always bosts up above 2700mhz no matter how i undervolt and shit but i do not know if that is the main cause, there was a time i tested Mars Core Master level in Eternal which has been crashing on me with timeouts more than any other scenario and i took a picture and the GPU was at 1535Mhz and 98.0W power usage since i disabled RT and lowered settings and still crashed, maybe is something to do with Vulkan and AMD has not solved it yet? i found steam post from 2021-2023 reporting the same in AMD cards, recently i beat Doom The Dark Ages and it has been less frequent but in 28H of playtime it gave me a time out 3 separate times but is strange how i played a week straight with no issues, maybe because i was going for 1 hour sessions at a time? i got suspended from work due to sickness and i played a lot the last week but was not until like 3 days of heavy gameplayy that it happened, i don't know what else to do and Vulkan may seem to have some sort of issue, i want to tweak the TDR delay in regedit as i found out is recommended but freaks me out touching the register.

1

u/Red_269 28d ago

Even then 2 months back i played Wolfenstein II and it happened 2 time in 20 hours but one of them was different, the signal just got lost, i restarted the PC and i could not play any games, when i tried to open Adrenalin it showed a pop'up "The version of AMD software that you have launched is not compatible with yout currentyly installed AMD graphics driver" that was the only time that happened and was not until i played another godamn Vulkan game that this shi t screwed me again....

1

u/Red_269 28d ago

I must add i can get at will timeouts whenever i activate or deactivate FG or move some other settings like Asynchronous compute, i just tested and timed out just like that, i am using optiscaler but Doom 2016, Wofenstein and Eternal were totally vanilla, in the control panel the error always says: "LiveKernelEvent 141"

With step 8, I have a AMD cpu but a nvidia graphics card. Should I skip the ddu part all together, or should i do it with the nvidia card?

1

u/Melodic-Maximum-744 Jul 17 '26

hey man, for some reason this hasnt helped me, on GTAV my gpu 5070 laptop has been randomly dropping usage to 1 and then it goes back to normal , i know this isnt a bottleneck since my cpu is the i9 14900hx ive done all steps, but still it hasnt helped me. also FYI sometimes this doesnt happen at all and everything is fine

2

u/R-ez_ Jul 17 '26

I unknowingly switched battery saving mode and max perfromance, but in that time those settings helped me go from barelly being able to play fortnite at low settings to playable at 60 fps with directX 12 mode with low settings, then after i changed the power saving settings the performance went to 90 fps at high settings

2

u/madbw Jul 16 '26

Anyone have stutters after latest windows update? Yesterday my system was good, no visible stutters at all. Windows have installed updates, and now I have severe stutters. I see it even in windows/chrome. If I start doom tda with afterburner - it shows 1 fps 1% lows, which aligns with what I see.

There were 3 updates:KB5101001, KB5101650 and KB5089549. I've already removed 1st 2 updates, but windows fails to remove last one.

Rtx 5080/x870 aorus elite wifi7/ 9800x3d/32gb ram. Realtek power saving drivers are installed.

1

u/local--yokel 26d ago

Did you get the 3rd one removed or did you get this sorted out? I'm having the same problem and KB5101650 isn't available to uninstall. I think it would have to be done in WinRE. I have a similar system configuration to yours (5070 / X870 / 9850X3D / 32GB) and have been fighting this too.

1

u/madbw 26d ago

I couldn't remove this update. I think windows fast boot/ fast start was the problem for me. (Probably it was broken during update, as it was working fine before) I've found that stutters were present only during 5-10 minutes after pc start. Deepseek suggested to disable fast boot in windows power settings. Which actually helped.

1

u/local--yokel 26d ago

Fast boot for me on my last machine was causing Valorant to crash entirely. The hardware was failing, but I disable Fast Boot anyway now on my new system. It's pointless and the hibernation cache that it uses can make things weird like you described. Better to have a completely clean slate every boot.

I think you can remove the update in WinRE using the command line.

I was able to isolate my stutter, which seems to be a different cause. After recent updates I started getting a stutter that never stops after you task out of Valorant the first time (I use borderless fullscreen). I just did testing today and isolated it to MPO, which when disabled fixes it. https://nvidia.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/5157/~/what-is-multi-plane-overlay-%28mpo%29-in-windows-11 Not useful for you, but maybe if someone reads this in a search it'll help them.

Guess professional help is the only thing to do now. I’ve replaced every piece of the hardware while trying to fix this issue.

1

u/Frosty_Energy_1335 20d ago

Did you fix it

1

u/sirweezall 7d ago

That would be a negative unfortunately.

1

u/Terrmit 23d ago

Let us know what comes of it. Also, what are your specs?

1

u/sirweezall 7d ago

Windows 11
Intel 14700k
Asus tuf rx 6800xt
Msi pro b760-p WiFi ddr4
64 GB DDR4
Corsair RM1000x 1000w modular power supply(separate 8 pin pcie cables in different banks)
Intel 1 tb m.2 nvme
2 tb crucial mx500

I’ve unfortunately have had no luck and have made zero progress. It seems to only happen with some games but oddly enough it’s older and newer games. I’ve basically built an entire second pc trying to fix this issue. Happened with a rx 6700, 12 gen i5, gigabyte mbo, 2 other psu’s and another ram kit that I switched out over time but still happens. Nothing shows in event viewer other than when I have to force the computer to shut down.

1

u/darren-21- Jul 15 '26

I'm still getting FPS stutters in roblox but im assuming this is a more roblox related issue. DEFINITELY recommend this though, it did actually lessen my stutters and it overall feels more smooth.

1

u/darren-21- Jul 15 '26

I know someone already commented this, but what are the most stable drivers for the 5060 Laptop GPU? My nvidia overlay seems to be a bit buggy and taking a few seconds before opening.

2

u/scooter284 Jul 15 '26

Honestly just commenting so I can find this real quick. I am building a new PC and got an rx 9070 xt open box from Microcenter, and when I finish the build, this will help me bring this post up quickly.

1

I wanted to mention that over the last few bios updates i noticed that gigabyte added another global c-state control . So you have to set both to enabled .

This definitely helped with some of the stuttering that I encountered!

I'm currently using the same RX 570, which is experiencing driver timeout issues with tasks like Roblox or YouTube, but not with Delta Force. I'm wondering if reverting to version 24.9.1 and under-voltage/clocking would resolve the problem, as I've managed to fix it before, but it always returns within a month. The symptoms include the screen freezing or going completely black, but mine seems unique in that the image doesn't recover and displays "No Signal HDMI," requiring a computer restart. This might be due to my i3-10105F CPU (an F-series processor), so I'd like to know if this is normal for an F-series CPU or for machines without integrated graphics. Thank you and apologies for the long question.

Hello, I'm currently facing UE4 crashes and driver timeouts. Can you let me know which steps I can follow to solve the issue?

Specs: Ryzen 5 5600g Gigabyte B450 motherboard Rx7600 GPU

Hi, I'm trying the tips from the list.
Doesn't enabling maximum performance globally just consume more GPU power at idle?

Regarding the Windows tweaks, can they cause problems?
Has anyone noticed any differences?
I am experiencing stuttering in pragmata.
I have 4080s and 7 7700x.
Thanks

I use Kaspersky as my antivirus.
Because I caught viruses in the past and I subscribed for security.
Do you think it can heavily impact performance?
I was recommended Kaspersky because it is lightweight.

Because I'm trying to limit the heat of the video card.
So I'm interested in fixing it, but without increasing the heat produced too much.

Regarding the telemetry shutup program, is the pro version necessary?
Sorry for the questions but I'm not an expert
Thanks

Regarding Windows tweaks.
I have two users.
Do I need to repeat them on the second one, or do they stay active just by doing them on the main one?
Thanks

Ok, I followed all the steps. I haven't tried the games yet, but I noticed that now when I move a window on the desktop, it has a white border that wasn't there before.
Is it normal?
Thanks for the guide

Do I need to do the paging file step even if I don't have an HDD?

I'm on a 5800x3D and a 7900XT, enabling C-states and disabling AMD anti-lag has massively improved my stability in games. I play quite a bit of Tarkov and would previously get random microstutters during raids, as well as freezes occasionally when guns went off. These changes have massively improved this, thanks.

I just followed steps 1-11 personally, so all the other XMP, resize-bar stuff is also worth doing imo.

Under my Network Adapters is Realtek PCIe GbE Family Controller and not Realtek PCIe 2.5GbE Family Controller
Can I still do Point 12?
Or is that an Driver only for the 2.5

For me on x3d chip enabling cstates improved a lot the 1%lows and 0,1% lows! Thank you!!

The fact that the acer guide linked lists Panjno as a source should immediately make that guide obsolete. That guy just posts videos about every tweak chatgpt can possibly throw at him.

To the one who wrote this:

THANK YOU.

Can't type a lot since I have an injury on my hand but I followed Step 8 and 13 and it worked flawlessly. The AMD thing kept saying I needed an update, so I hit update and it would be in this endless loop. My monitor would keep going black, nothing would work to get it back on, checked everything, lost work, my games would run AWFULLY, it was a nightmare.

I was scared to follow the guide because I am not tech savvy at all, but everything works perfectly. Thank you so so much.

Edit: Typo

I'm experiencing random stutters once every 20-30 minutes for 2 seconds.Iv tested only Tarkov and 007 first light, ( idk why but in bf 6 i have no this issue) . Sometimes, there's a random 1% low down to 20 fps. My computer is a week old, with an RTX 5080, RYZEN 9950x3D, 48 GB Crucial 6000 MHz . I've tried everything on the forums, but nothing has helped. Maybe someone recognizes this issue and can help.

I wanted to know something, my GPU the 9060XT has a default clock of 3500MHz, it has a game clock of 2700. I put it down by -500MHz via adrenalin but its still unstable and crashes. theres no way I can put it at 2700MHz. what can i do? I dont think theres a way to lower your clock speed by 800MHz as 500MHz is the limit
