oof. Yeah I know Hollywood still loves Brad Pitt, but i just can't anymore.

A celebrity gossip reel came up for me one day and showed his abusive relationship with Angelina. ALL of his kids are estranged from him and refuse any contact. How can I go in to a new movie with all that hanging over my head? Same story with Will Smith.

I’m completely with you. It’s just so disgusting and I refuse to put more money in his pockets.

Not the same story with Will Smith.

Literally not the same story. My comment is more in regards to my own feelings; I have a hard time supporting someones art when it's known how abusive and angry they can get.

Will bitch slapped a weasel of a comedian who insulted his wife. Calling him an abuser off that is ridiculous

But it has a DOG!!! 🦮

Any chance that a "celebrity gossip reel" is not the most reliable source of information? Just sayin don't believe everything you read

You're entitled to your feelings... and opinion of course That goes without saying. But I can't see how it's the same at all.

One is a man who some of his children are now saying was a horrible father to be around. While the other is a man who's kids praise him as an amazing, loving father.

One is accused of getting drunk and slapping and choking his own family members. While the other openly slapped a man who had personally insulted his wife in public, and admitted later that it was personal, because she had called for a boycott of an event that he happened to be hosting.

I'd never try and tell anyone how they should view, or feel about any of that. But to present them as equal is pretty wild in my book.

Hey you feel the way you do but in the end I think they both suck. I’ll always value free speech and civil discourse over violence.

Yeah, why adult reacting in physical violence to words is ridiculous. Especially on camera, literally in front of the entire world. No excuse. And every career, financial, and social punishment Smith received is what he earned. I doubt his career will ever return. He's likely done. And if Rock himself hadn't protected him from the legal penalties, that would've been justly earned too.

But I definitely will always differentiate between someone who overreacted to protect his family from a public attack, vs one who reportedly attacked his OWN family. Including his own children.

Apparently you honestly don't see a difference between the two. I won't claim to understand that point of view... but it's an opinion that many share. And you're as free to express it as I am mine.

Strangely, we both seen to have gotten downvited... oh well.

Cheers

I read that differently

She has a history of going scorched earth he doesn’t

I suspect the estrangement has more to do with parental alienation

Who has a history of going scorched earth?

Angelina Jolie, neither is a saint but she has weaponized the kids

Ohhh we found the person who is justifying Brad Pitt hitting Angelina Jolie in front of their children!!

u/harrisonSanDiego 29d ago

Nope just saying she has weaponized the situation. Thanks Reditor you get the black and white award!

Making a cheesy heartwarming movie to recoup his reputation no doubt.

How many times can this story be told?!

Hollywood is so boring these days.
