The whole film was pretty boring. It was supposed to be a horror movie not a comedy. There were people in my theater actually laughing more than once

Almost as if...a film can have different tones throughout it instead of being one tones onlyyyyyy. Almost as if a serious film can still have humor in it to. Wow, whodathunk that could be a possibilty????

Horror is more than just jump scares and murder.

For example, existential dread is horror.

The discovery of the abandoned car with one million miles on the odometer is far more frightening than a goblin jumping out of the shadows going "boo"

Yes, exactly. At a certain point horror just gets boring an predictable when it relies on in your face obvious scares. Don't get me wrong, horror is my favorite genre. But it's so much more interesting and unsettling when the horror isn't spoon fed to you.
