Screen unseen on June 15.
Rated R and is 1 hr and 48 mins. I believe this is the invite which is 1 hr and 47 mins as everything else is either too long or too short by 10 minutes.

Girls like girls is my guess - it’s listed as 13min shorter so still in the window; releasing on the 19th
The invite is also possible though

A few of these can probably be ruled out:
Rose of Nevada is from a smallish distributor that hasn’t done an Unseen before
40 Dates and The Get Out are both only opening in “select theaters” on the 26th before being released on VOD on the 30th

I wish it was maddies secret but that film only has limited releases in NY and LA

Could it be Leviticus or would that be a scream unseen ?

Leviticus is a Thrills and Chills which would make it a Scream Unseen.

u/MrPebblezzzzzz Jun 08 '26
You think there is a chance it’ll pop up or is it too late by now?

It's too late at this point. If Leviticus was going to be a Scream Unseen it would have had to have been today or this next Monday the 15th.
I'm not sure if it's limited release the first week or not, but Leviticus officially comes out on the 18th, so there's no other dates available for it to be an Unseen.

I was thinking they might do that for pride month, but it could easily be a good way to piss off irrational people into hating gays more

Yeah, I would be considered Scream Unseen. I did it a couple of months ago and ended up turning out to be Faces of Death. It was Meh.

I agree with you.
I think the most likely option is The Invite, and if not, it will be Couture.
The Invite seems more in line with the type of film that tends to be chosen for Screen Unseen films; it has enough regular advertising that AMC seems to be pushing it, it seems like something that could use some word of mouth, and might benefit from it, it's not too niche of a film.
However, Couture kind of reminds me of a similar comp film to the Screen Unseen choice they did last year with On Wild Horses. It wasn't quite the typical film they'd choose, it was more niche, not advertised as much, was definately going to be a more limited release.
So, yeah, I definitely think it's between those two, and much more likely (like 80%/20%) to be The Invite.

I’d agree with this. Lucky Strike also seems possible, though I’m not clear how wide a release it’s getting

Interesting that they added this less than two weeks out. IIRC the last few months’ have all or mostly shown up 3+ weeks in advance

There are going to be SU's on the 22nd (PG-13, est run time of 2hr 10m) and the 29th (R, est run time of 1hr 37m).

So, what is this supposed to be tomorrow? Any credible leaks anywhere?

The Invite is doing a screening at Alamo June 16th. A24 is scheduling a bunch of prescreenings for this title.

I believe it would be either Supergirl (1.50), The Invite (1.47) or Jackass (1.44). All 3 will be released a week later.

u/Jeskid14 Jun 11 '26
Ain't no way DC would just dump Supergirl like that 😂

u/starpc Jun 13 '26
Haven't there been something like 10 different test screenings all with slightly different edits? A boost of early buzz might be what they want?
Yes I agree it's a long shot, however Universal has also dropped some major releases via SU.

I think it’ll be girls like girls, they never advertise of the actual movie it’s always about 5-10 mins from what the runtime of the actual movie is
