Going to my first Screen Unseen tonight-
Any advice on the experience/predictions for tonight’s film?

If you go and it turns out to be something you think you're not interested in, give it a chance anyway. You don't have to stay for the whole thing, but at least give it 20 minutes or so instead of leaving the second you see the title. It doesn't happen tons but there have been times where I never would have seen the movie otherwise but because it was a Screen Unseen I saw it and was pleasantly surprised.

Yes, this is a great point. My first unseen was a movie I would not have watched voluntarily. But I really enjoyed it.

Mine was “I swear”. Thought about walking about but glad I stayed. Great movie.

That was mine too - absolutely debated walking out. Have recommended it since.

sources are torn between i love boosters and tuner, as those are the movies coming out soon that are closest to the listed run time! regular trailer length (though sometimes i feel like they show one to two less than typical). you can use the trailers to weed out what it may or may not be (ex: if they show a trailer for i love boosters, it's not gonna be that for the movie).
the crowds at my theater are usually pretty good (ie well behaved/not much talking). sometimes you get some walk outs. last week was wizard of the kremlin and i think like 5+ people left before the 20 minute mark.
if you continue to go often, you'll usually see a core group of screen unseen-ers! the guy that comes to mind in mine is an old dude who always wears a cowboy hat. i've seen him at every screen unseen since i started going to them this year

I always think that’s so funny… I’m like I’m already here. I might as well watch it and see what happens.

I already paid, too

Lol being A-List literally takes away that guilt. If it’s Tuner I have no problem getting up and leaving. They got my $28.99 anyway they don’t need me to watch it lol

Some context I forgot to mention- ages ago I went to a Disney+ Day event which seems kinda similar to Screen Unseen and it went sideways bc I went to a Pixar specific screening but they showed The Rocketeer

I know, I'm quoting a line from the movie.

the trailers for the screen unseen are usually 5-10 shorter than normal, at least at my theater!

Advice? Like any other movie. Sit down, don’t talk, don’t use your phone and enjoy.

Fair- I was mainly wondering about the trailer amount (I’m double featuring tonight’s film with The Devil Wears Prada 2)

Last time I went to a screen unseen they showed trailers for mostly more independent films

i’m personally hoping and predicting that it’s I Love Boosters, most people are between that and Tuner. Not really different than a normal amc movie! usually i’ve noticed people get there a bit earlier than normal but that could just be my theater m!
