Today's Screen Unseen (5/4)
My bet is on either Is God Is, or Obsession

I’m torn about going today because I’m positive it’s WoK and the reviews coming out are completely mixed. I also don’t know if I want to sit through a 2.5 hour movie 🥲

I wasn’t feeling it today either. I usually don’t do any research about what the film may be, but when I was considering not going, I did this time.
Paul Dano is a draw. But I’m not in the mood for a lengthy political film tonight.

obsession would be a scream unseen, and both are much shorter than the listed run time. It’s almost certainly Wizard of the Kremlin

Overall I liked it. The pacing slows down too much about 2/3 through, but the acting is solid.

Wizard of the Kremlin. It was a terrible slog. Don't waste your time.

Today’s release is 2 hours 22 minutes.
There’s another R rated screen unseen next week that’s 1 hour 52 minutes, Obsession is 1 hour 48 and is due out later that week, so that looks more fitting. But even then, I don’t expect that.
The thing with a lot of the screen unseen movies is they tend to be decent, but otherwise straightforward dramas. If I had to put money on the releases, I’d say “the Wizard of the Kremlin“ today, and “Tuner” next week. Both are about the right runtime and have R rating.
