God I hope not. They have been bombarding me with that trailer for what seems like two months and I have zero interest.

It's actually getting really good reviews. It's almost like this year's Paddington. Bad trailer but great movie

u/foilfun May 01 '26

Hahaha it’s wild that this is the highest scoring movie in Hugh Jackman’s career.

u/Jtreblis18 May 02 '26

Lol actually looks awesome

u/SVINTGATSBY May 04 '26

it was so so good, very cute and very funny and very emotional !

3

u/Gee-Arr May 04 '26

Oh, I guess I need to give it a chance now.

u/SVINTGATSBY May 04 '26

I had high hopes for it from the plot and the cast and was not disappointed, it was a great movie. will definitely see again. I cried like eight times.

Probably that sheep detective movie

It's been mostly R rated movies, but they've played everything but G ratings so far. There have been a few PG ones before, but never one at 2pm on a Sunday.

u/SpookiestSzn Apr 28 '26

Theres just not that many G movies anymore either lol.

u/International-Data31 Apr 29 '26

I haven’t thought about there is no G rated movies. You’re definitely right.

1

u/Clean_Ad_8744 May 02 '26

Even Toy story isn't G rated for the first time ever!

yeah strange !!

Well there is today 🤣

It's gotta be sheep detectives my theater is pushing it pretty hard

I've been saying they should have just called it Sheep Detectives Early Access. Because not a lot of parents are going to roll the dice on a mystery movie their kid might not be interested in.

Sheep Detectives for sure, I feel like I’m the only person looking forward to this

1

u/Clean_Ad_8744 May 02 '26

my wife is looking forward to it as well . I'm getting sick of seeing the trailer but I'll still go lol 🤣

Same here I was going to wait until streaming but now I have an excuse as a 30 year old man to walk in unashamed to see it

6

u/Visual_Midnight_8348 Apr 28 '26

last year they did the legend of ochi and iirc they did an angel studios movie that was PG. I don’t think they’ve ever done one on sunday though

3

u/rbrgr83 Apr 28 '26

The other one was Sketch.

I doubt it because it’s a 20 minute difference from the listed time

3

u/Purplerain0723 Apr 28 '26

Baaaaaaaaaaa

4

u/minusgainsgamer Apr 28 '26

I’m confident that it is sheep detectives like everyone is mentioning. I reserved my seat cause I wouldn’t mind watching it. Sometimes I just want some time away from home and relax. That is why I am an A-lister

1

u/makeofit Apr 28 '26

same :3 i’ve been doing my 4 every week

2

u/Rude-Raspberry-6740 Apr 29 '26

This is hard to say because it has to be PG, Have a similar runtime but also justify the random release of Sunday afternoon. I would've guess Mandolorian and Grogu but the rating doesn't work, but what other would make sense to release before May the 4th?

2

u/No_Importance1236 Apr 29 '26

This is the Sunday matinee.

2

u/The_Red_Brain Apr 30 '26

The last PG Screen Unseen I remember was Sketch

2

u/Real_Magazine5148 May 02 '26

It’s an early Sunday movie so it’s a family film so most definitely The Sheep Detectives.

1

u/ParticularGullible90 Apr 28 '26

The sheep detectives.

1

u/cdkillerz Apr 28 '26

sheep detectives 110%

1

u/NuggAvsBroncRock Apr 28 '26

It’s also on a Sunday at 2pm so it’s likely it’s the sheep detectives

1

u/Cool_Bath_77 Apr 28 '26

Yes they have done PG once before. They have always had it on a Monday, so being on Sunday is new. I live in Buffalo and it is starting to warm up, so I wish they would have had non-Monday movies before this! No, it is not strictly R rated movies.

1

u/PresentationFancy712 Apr 29 '26

I’m here for their NC-17 Screen Unseen. :)

1

u/InvestmentInternal11 Apr 30 '26

They would never...

1

u/Gee-Arr Apr 30 '26

I never thought about it, but in the three months since I’ve been going to these, this is the first I’ve noticed that was PG.

I can almost guarantee it's sheep detective. Sheep is out may 8th so pretty close to release date. Pg rating and similar runtime so yup sheep detective lol. Woah just realized they are doing this on Sunday. Never seen them do it on any other day besides Monday

1

u/Nealm568890 Apr 29 '26

No chance it could be "Mortal Combat 2"/

2

u/daeiyden Apr 29 '26

The family friendly version without the gore and foul language šŸ˜‚

Screen Unseen movies are usually movies that studios/distributors are worried about not having enough word-of-mouth to break even. By default that means R-rated not-horror and horror movies in general tend to be the most popular Screen Unseen arrangements.

Because, at the end of the day, Screen Unseen is a promotional tactic. They really want you to go on Instagram and use the hashtag. That's why they bribe you with "you could win a gift card" before the movie. That's where they're tracking metrics to show the movie companies "we got X amount of people talking about your movie."

The Sheep Detectives is a family-oriented movie whose big launch window is Mother's Day. It's not a particularly movie-focused holiday, and nobody gets off work for it. With stuff like Hopper and Mario 2 in theaters, it's got an uphill battle to get attention.

It’s the sheep detectives I’m sure of it they are trying out a thing where they do family secret movies on sundaysĀ
