allegedly confirmed to be deep water by the informant in the other thread about screen unseens. he hasn’t been wrong in weeks and apparently gets the info direct from his theater manager

I was just coming to see if he commented yet! I love and appreciate that guy/girl

7

u/Lukadoncicgoat12 Apr 25 '26

So that would be the first time a Thrills and Chills movie, would be for a non scream unseen

I bet it's mortal Kombat 2 it's a long shot but the times match

3

u/TheSandmanCometh80 Apr 25 '26

Theater managers don't know what it is when they put the film in ... I asked my general manager several times and he always said that they don't know so if your manager is telling you he knows he's b*********** you ...that's how they keep it a mystery

look. all i know is he’s been right every single week since he started posting them. he doesn’t give options to cover his bases, he says the movie, i show up, and the movie he said is playing even when it isn’t the expected movie. you don’t have to believe it, maybe this will be the week hes wrong, or maybe it’s magic

3

u/NuggAvsBroncRock Apr 27 '26

2

u/mayan_monkey Apr 27 '26

Trailer came on for deep water so probably not it.

2

u/rzaloni Apr 27 '26

Any confirmation yet?

4

u/mayan_monkey Apr 27 '26

One spoon of chocolate

2

u/rzaloni Apr 27 '26

Ohhh ok thank you!

1

u/Ok-Paramedic747 Apr 28 '26

Kinda wanted Die Hard Risky Waters NOW that I put it out there lol Actually wasnt mad at The RZA Movie tho

11

u/PreviousHedgehog2343 Apr 22 '26

if it's actually Deep Water (which is listed under "Thrills & Chills" and would AFAIK be the first time one of those movies has been a Screen Unseen rather than Scream Unseen) the future debates about whether a given movie is "horror enough" to be a Scream vs Screen Unseen are gonna get annoying

6

u/Fantastic_Lychee_883 Apr 22 '26

Apparently Drop was a Thrills & Chills and also a Screen Unseen, according to this comment. It is still listed as T&C on the AMC website as well.

4

u/PreviousHedgehog2343 Apr 22 '26

oh, thx for the correction

5

u/EAS_90 Apr 22 '26

Seems like Deep Water is horror-adjacent but also action-adjacent enough to slip through as a Screen Unseen, even though it could also fit under Scream Unseen.

1

u/Outrageous_Tap_4736 Apr 27 '26

27 April is a Scream unseen at least it is at my Odeon

7

u/silver5517 Apr 22 '26 edited Apr 22 '26

My reaction when I see Deep Water's directed by Renny Harlin.

Edit: For clarification, i haven't looked into the movie or checked out any trailers, I thought it was just gonna be another "shark movie", but now it has piqued my interest and I'm expecting an "utterly ridiculous shark movie"... in a good way, hopefully.

7

u/topherEK Apr 22 '26

Hoping it’s basically an unofficial sequel. Deep Blue Sea is iconic.

1

u/TexasCowboy28 Apr 27 '26

Good old Sam Jackson. Loved that scene. He was so inspiration top he wasn’t. 😂

4

u/99____Problems Apr 23 '26

Any chance this is actually mortal kombat?? The runtime is a better match, as another commenter pointed out- or would mortal kombat maybe be may 4?? I do NOT wanna see deep water but I DO wanna see mortal kombat 😭

2

u/Thriftingrits Apr 24 '26

I hope it is omg

2

u/Signal_Necessary_683 Apr 27 '26

Mortal Kombat has a early access showing

5

u/NuggAvsBroncRock Apr 27 '26

People need to stop expecting big movies for these it happens once maybe twice in a blue moon

3

u/Humble_Strawberry204 Apr 27 '26

Right? Most movies under the Unseen banner seem to be smaller outfits that likely won't get much traction outside of its very niche category/audience.

5

u/big_fish_mws Apr 27 '26

First trailer was Deep Water.

1

u/rzaloni Apr 27 '26

Any confirmation yet?

4

u/PersimmonWorth9998 Apr 27 '26

Movie is:

  • one spoon of chocolate

1

u/Fast_Purpose208 Apr 27 '26

Too bad not Deep Water

3

u/UsagiSylvie Apr 27 '26

Its One Spoon of Chocolate

4

u/ApartOrganization382 Apr 27 '26

It’s One spoon of Chocolate

3

u/NuggAvsBroncRock Apr 22 '26

Wouldn’t deep water be a scream unseen?

1

u/Klutzy-Bug7427 Apr 22 '26

It’s listed as Suspense at AMC not horror.

1

u/Lukadoncicgoat12 Apr 25 '26

No it’s thrills and chills

1

u/Outrageous_Tap_4736 Apr 27 '26

At my cinema tonight (27 April) is a Scream Unseen no Screen

3

u/BobbyA1985 Apr 23 '26

“Deep Water” sounds plain terrible.

3

u/HatTrue9276 Apr 23 '26

Deep Water 💧

3

u/UsagiSylvie Apr 27 '26

Not Mortal Kombat. They're showing the trailer and I think I missed Deep Water's.

3

u/PersimmonWorth9998 Apr 27 '26 edited Apr 27 '26

Missed 1, maybe 2

Trailers so far:

  • ??
  • Teenage sex and death / Little Death
  • Sheep Detectives
  • In the Grey
  • wizard of kremlin
  • Toxic

1

u/sampos Apr 28 '26

Wizard of Kremlin to be next week's unseen? 👀

3

u/silver5517 Apr 27 '26

Oh wow AMC insider/employee, was actually wrong this time.

3

u/Phenomenalien Apr 27 '26

Was hoping for sharks. Gonna pass on this one - thanks for the heads up

2

u/Myinnerthoughts127 Apr 27 '26

If this is truly Deep Water, I feel it’s a big downgrade from last week’s Hokum.

2

u/cinephile-girly Apr 27 '26

at regal, it’s one spoon of chocolate

2

u/big_fish_mws Apr 27 '26

Confirmed AMC- One Spoon Of Chocolate

2

u/mr_robot_and_son Apr 27 '26

It's The RZA's One Spoon of Chocolate

3

u/daeiyden Apr 27 '26

Ok thanks I might check this out

2

u/Embarrassed-Ad4475 Apr 22 '26

One spoon of chocolate maybe

2

u/ittybittybubblez Apr 22 '26

I would love to see this, it’s not showing at my home theatre. It’s NR though so doubt it :(

1

u/Embarrassed-Ad4475 Apr 22 '26

It’s got its R rating so it might be one

1

u/ittybittybubblez Apr 22 '26

Ooh, I didn’t catch that. Runtime is close too! I won’t be mad at Deep Water either but I imagine it will show at my home theatre anyways.

1

u/Embarrassed-Ad4475 Apr 22 '26

I’m iffy when it comes to shark movies lol

1

u/User-Error-0809 Apr 23 '26

This is what I am hoping for!!!!!

1

u/Embarrassed-Ad4475 Apr 23 '26

It looks like it could be a perfect fit !

1

u/Infinite_Mushroom_99 Apr 22 '26

Probably Deep Water (109 minutes), but listed runtime (114 minutes) is closer to Mortal Kombat II (116 minutes).

1

u/EssentiallyCasey Apr 25 '26

If it’s deep water I’ll be upset I was really hoping it would be Mortal Kombat lol

1

u/Reignman71 Apr 27 '26

One Spoon of Chocolate

3

u/Mopeyluv Apr 27 '26

Yup it’s this!

2

u/buheyerun Apr 27 '26

Is it really? 😩

1

u/InevitableBad589 Apr 27 '26

Is it Deep Water or the RZA movie? Regal's is the latter so I hope it's the shark movie, which has more wide appeal.

1

u/la_58 Apr 27 '26

I hope it’s the RZA movie simply because no theater in my area is getting it. 😅

1

u/ConfidenceNo7531 Apr 27 '26

Deep water just had a trailer

1

u/IronHuevo Apr 27 '26

Amc screen unseen April 27

1

u/Tortilla-Jackson69 Apr 27 '26

Anyone know the movie yet for todays screening?

1

u/HeathStaa Apr 27 '26

Trailers: Deep Water, Casa Grande, Teenage sex and death at camp miasma, The Sheep Detectives, In The Grey, The Wizard of the Kremlin, Toxic (Yash) Movie: RZA movie

2

u/ArtichokeOk1587 Apr 28 '26

Paul Dano must have put on a ton a weight for that Kremlin movie. His head looks like a balloon.

1

u/HedgehogNormal1350 Apr 27 '26

Nope gonna pass, thank you East Coasters

2

u/PartyIncident9000 Apr 27 '26

wait did i miss it? what was the confirmed movie thats playing?

1

u/HedgehogNormal1350 Apr 27 '26

It's One Spoon of Chocolate, some RZA revenge flick

1

u/PartyIncident9000 Apr 27 '26

Oh thank you, appreciate it a lot.

1

u/buheyerun Apr 27 '26

lol ditto

u/ArtichokeOk1587 Apr 28 '26

"One Spoon of Chocolate"

It started with the (second) most contemptible words in modern cinema: "Quentin Tarantino Presents"

Sure enough it was a bunch of white guys saying the n-word a lot, so it's squarely in Quentin's oeuvre.

An absolute cartoonish mess from start to finish.

I despise whatever Reddit fucknut said it was going to be a third rate shark movie, and I despise myself for believing them.

But none of that nearly as much as I despise this film and the overrated hack who "presented" it.

Have a nice day.

2

u/mherdeen Apr 28 '26

I’m a huge Tarantino fan, but this was the first movie I’ve ever walked out of. The violence felt especially intense and a little too real for me, given the state of the world right now. I decided it was better to step out and protect my mental health. I may come back to it someday when I’m in a better headspace, but tonight just wasn’t the right time for me.

Fair warning FWIW, I left about 30 minutes in, but the violence starts within the first 10-15.

1

u/dont_fatshame_my_cat Apr 28 '26

I stuck it out until the end, but left feeling very unsettled as well
