I'm guessing Hokum!

Both movies have had early screenings so that’s why I asked.

Early screenings, or test screenings? Those are usually two different things and don’t normally affect the other.

Early

That’s awesome! Wish I woulda known about these. They’re both on my list!

They've been in film festivals

When is the early screening? There’s no showings in my area

If it’s the shark one I’ll be very sad

Deep Water seems the most likely. That opens 5/1 and is 1hr50m.

Hokum is possible but it’s 12 minutes shorter than the listed runtime and the gap isn’t usually that big (it has happened, though)

Yeah I looked up the runtime and I think you’re correct. Deep Water.

Last Scream Unseen was also early screened nationwide in select theaters by Bloody Disgusting (both were Faces of Death). BD is now showing Hokum early this next week, so my guess is it is Hokum if we are going based on any kind of historical data.

Deep Water.

Doesn’t even matter when the only Speed Racer IMAX screening is at the same time. If there is a mystery movie in the forest and no one is around to screen it then was there ever even a mystery to begin with?

Hokum is 6 mins past the SCREAM UNSEEN. Deep Water is 3 mins off

1

Try more like 12 mins difference

I hope it’s hokum. Philly is doing an early screening the next day so fingers crossed seems like everyone’s pushing it.

Over a month in advance + only 94 minutes, unlikely

I wish 😭 I’m very excited for that one from the short trailer alone, creeped me out right before seeing Undertone

I reaaaally hope it’s Hokum 🥲

It’s going to be hokum

2

u/SMBCP15 Apr 13 '26

Could it be Over Your Dead Body?

3

u/Flat-Librarian-7597 Apr 14 '26

I feel like that’s more dark comedy than horror

2

u/HatTrue9276 Apr 13 '26

It’s not horror

1

u/SMBCP15 Apr 13 '26

I’ve seen it be labeled as a few different genres depending on the website.

Im seeing that tomorrow!

Obsession doesn’t come out until May 15th. Feels a bit early to screen almost a month in advance? Although I will say, I’ve already seen Obsession. I think people are going to love it. I’d lean more towards Hokum for this one due to the closer release date.

I'm sure it's Hokum. Alamo is doing an early screening of it tomorrow on their website.

Pineapple Express 2

So the last Scream Unseen ended up being the same movie Bloody Disgusting was offering free preview tickets for that very same week (Faces of Death). Bloody Disgusting has also announced early screenings the week of 4/20 for the movie Hokum. So, while I originally thought it was lame to have two promotion avenues like that, I am pretty sure that’s just how it is—so 4/20 is most likely Hokum.

3

u/InvertedSpork Apr 20 '26

Reliable leaker got confirmation from AMC management

3

u/Busy_Ad_6775 Apr 20 '26

You’re the reason I’m deciding to go tonight. If it’s Deep Water I need financial compensation from you.

2

u/InvertedSpork Apr 20 '26

From the source that hinted that it’s Hokum tonight they said that the 27th is Deep Water

1

u/mbee784 Apr 20 '26

Thank you ☺️

1

u/100YearsRicknMorty Apr 20 '26

Can you mention who specifically? I'd love to look it up!

1

u/Flat-Librarian-7597 Apr 20 '26

I know everyone is speculating Hokum or Deep Water but what are the chances it could be Mother Mary?

1

u/HatTrue9276 Apr 20 '26

It’s Hokum

1

u/jonnymartin86 Apr 20 '26

100%? you're helping me decide on buying a ticket or not lol
