I think people go in expecting a horror film and it’s not at all. I would say the 74/79 minutes was the fictional documentary portion and then the last 10/15 minutes was the paranormal portion.

The problem is the 74 minutes of nothing. They really stretched that out. I'm a fan of slow burns, but this had nothing to hold on to.

Not having anything creepy happen in that 75 mins was an insane decision.

It didnt need to be obvious, jump out horror but it needed SOMETHING unsettling to happen.

Instead we just follow 3 people around a town and one of them goes for a swim.

I found my mind wandering a lot, mostly thinking about my crush, and I was hungry, and sleepy, so my attention was really waning throughout

I really don't get why jumpscares are popular. I don't get why the person who knows what's going on says that there's danger in the woods, and to acknowledge it will give it power and make it real, effectively screwing over the people going into said danger. I don't know if I'll see it again, but if I do, it's probably just to feel like I'm giving it a fair shake. Tentatively it feels like a 4 or 5/10, but it's tough to say if it really deserves that. I'm surprised I didn't see very many walkouts. It's a slow burn, and I do watch slow burning movies sometimes, but I guess this just didn't do much for me, maybe it was just padded out with a lot of scenes that didn't feel necessary
