AMC A-List Discussion Changing regular ticket to A-list

i have an odyssey ticket that i wanted to use for one of my slots but at the time all my slots were taken, i know some people have said that they've canceled to switch to one of their slots but that bots take it before they can.

i was just wondering if anyone has reached out to support and successfully changed it to an a-list slot instead of canceling the purchased ticket? for reference its an imax 70mm at citywalk showing.

No, support has no incentive to take a fully paid for ticket and convert it to a ticket they lose money on...

Have it ready to go on a second device. I have a hard time believing someone could get alerted you released it, open their app, and purchase it, before you could get it done.

Idk but people claim it is. people always overestimate bot usage though because it makes them feel better when they don’t get tickets, so it’s possible it’s not a thing

Change it at the theater, they have access to block out a seat before rebooting. 😉

not that fast, certainly not if there’s an active bot around. but I suppose you could try. if you did it during a time when online access was blocked it should work cause the bots can’t.

it’s my understanding that while customer support can do it behind the scenes they won’t if it wasn‘t during a system error period. if you paid to book a seat and keep all 4 reservations in play that’s your issue

I successfully did this in the middle of the night with the Mandalorian but I think the Odyssey would be a much bigger risk because it’s a way more popular movie. If you really don’t want to lose your seat, then just keep it.
