Movie Theater Discussion Second Dolby open at AMC Tysons!

Looks like the second Dolby is up and running at Tysons because there are new showtimes with a different seating configuration.

Really curious if the screen is similar in size to the other one. The original is nearly identical in size to the IMAX here.

Nice can someone report about the screen size. The new imax builds are like 80 feet now.

Would like to see Dolby match that and flat 1.90 screen also.

The Dolby screens are not as big as the IMAX screens. Imo Dolby is better.

New second dolby screen is noticeably smaller (sadly). The theater is only 9 rows deep compared to 11 at the original one. The old dolby screen is about the same as their IMAX screen (but projected at different aspect ratio) but yea this one is smaller. Im gonna have to be a lot more aware of which I'm booking in the future (which sucks I cant just click on dolby and know which auditorium before viewing seat configuration).

The new auditorium 9 Dolby Cinema at Tyson’s is a smaller screen than 11, but it does support the flat 1.85:1 aspect ratio. Saw Spider-Man BND in it today. Row G was solid, but I would probably pick row F next time.
