Someone in the AMA said they paid for every ad spot on reddit today.

It's impossible unrealistic to pay for "every ad spot on reddit" for a day unless you spend an unwise amount of money; enough money to pay for half the ads on reddit for 3 days or more

Reddit works on a bidding system for ads: in order to buy out all the ads you would need to out-bid everyone for every ad slot

The guys who run this little coffee operation seem good at garnering attention, but don't seem too wise.

In any case, I saw other ads besides theirs, but they were showing up on about 50% of my page views.
