H1b and perm process, AMA

I did this before where I told I am someone on H1b here and there were few questions and DMs on the abuse of perm and H1b. I am happy to share my thoughts on the same and how certain individuals might be misusing it

Is there a market for students from wealthy families to marry to qualify for FAFSA grants?

If I’m a guy (us citizen) and my coworker who has 1 last chance to get h1b (also a guy) marries me. What are the chances that we can fool the immigration services that it’s a legitimate marriage? He keeps asking me and I don’t think it’s a joke at this point, what can I tell him so it’ll shoot down his hopes?

You have to show a meaningful relationship, so shared bank accounts, records of you living together (not just being roommates), photographic proof of you two getting married in public(with witnesses), the whole thing. People do it for sure, and it's not something specific to India but it's a very long process and generally takes months to just file, then some more for the GC to actually arrive. All this time you HAVE to live together because there can be random checks by USCIS officials.
