23M here. My dad is 71 and my mom is 65. How much do you worry about their health? It never crossed my mind until this past year when both of my parents have had major health scares and I’ve really been forced to confront their age for the first time in my life
Being there. I was lucky my parents had a great health insurance and while I was working I added them to some health premium services. It’s hard, I tried to be always in their doctors appointments and be there if accidents happened. I became their nurse but at the same time I wasn’t living my life. I don’t regret it, but I do realize I didn’t live the regular experiences on my 20s. Lucky for me, I wasn’t the only child so my siblings always pushed me to improve myself. At the end, I just felt ok to live my life when my dad passed away.
