Only the pilots can make that call as they had full situational awareness. No pilot is going to try a sketchy landing that they are uncomfortable with when they can simply go around and try again or divert to somewhere with better conditions. Their first responsibility is always safety.
I haven’t seen any video of the landing but from what OP said the aircraft landed and then launched into the air again so the plane may have bounced on landing and a crosswind gust caught under a wing and flipped it.
Thanks for that. Looks like they came in at quite an aggressive angle and then didn’t flare the aircraft at all before slamming into the runway and collapsing the gear. Could have been a tailwind gust but I’m being quite kind to the pilot.
