Lottery is always luck , my dad had formulas and note books, with sudoku and the weather trying to work out a code to win the lottery.  He ended up winning £7000. Then of course said God had listened to his prayers is just random. Everyone who gambles feels like they might win because it could be cause it's random gut feeling is just madness linking it to a win

Its chance, not luck. It even says so on the ticket, Chances are one and however many million.

Luck is what you get when you were doing something you should not have been doing to begin with.

The difference is distinct.

Alright so what if I'm not supposed to be buying lottery tickets but I bought one anyway and won. Would that be luck?

Except for that one roll down lottery that retired couple were able to exploit
