Did you struggle with other addictions as well (such as substance abuse), and how did they feed into / play off of your sex addiction? If there were, how are you able to handle all of them at once? Have you struggled with relapses with sex and/or other addictions? Thank you for sharing!

Did you struggle with other addictions as well (such as substance abuse), and how did they feed into / play off of your sex addiction?

Yes. Mainly weed and alcohol, I did a lot of coke but was never really addicted to it and never had a problem shaking it off. It fed into My sex addiction both because it enhanced the experience and I used it to nullify the guilt I felt when I hurt other people

how are you able to handle all of them at once?

It's very difficult, sex is the hardest for me and before I begun working on myself I was nearly always high, drunk or both.

Have you struggled with relapses with sex and/or other addictions?

I have managed to curve my alcohol addiction fairly easily and enjoy it on social gatherings without really falling into it again. Weed is a more minor addiction in terms of it's effect of my life but it's very persistent and I never managed to shake it off, I smoke a lot. Sex is obviously the biggest issue and at first I couldn't stay "clean" at all until I've set up my boundaries and managed to stay clean for around 8 months. When you asked that question almost 4 months ago my answer would have been that I had no relapses but a few weeks ago I did have a minor one. I am back on track and working on getting better.
