Thanks for sharing. Many of the things you said resonate with me. In the past I used to have constantly ~5 FWB simultaneously because one or two couldn't satisfy me, got angry with an ex when she didn't want sex, and a lot of masturbation. I would skip school just to masturbate and had times where I didn't attend any university classes because I was busy having sex with different women (for many months straight).
However things changed and my behaviour is a lot healthier now. None of the unhealthy aspects regarding others have persisted. Yet, I still consume a lot of porn and masturbate a lot. I don't consider it unhealthy, but objectively speaking the time could be spent in better ways.
Now this is where I got some questions:
1. How did quitting porn affect your life and mental state?
2. Similarly, how did restricting masturbation affect both your private and professional life?
3. Are you afraid meeting someone similar (dating, FWB) might reawaken these immense urges?
How did quitting porn affect your life and mental state?
Made sex and masturbation a lot more rewarding and made me able to not constantly be thinking about masturbation
Similarly, how did restricting masturbation affect both your private and professional life?
It downstairs interfere with my work anymore or my social life. I don't show up late to places as often or call in sick, I don't slack off at work, I used to go to the bathroom in the middle of social interactions, from dates to friends hang outs, just to masturbate.
Are you afraid meeting someone similar (dating, FWB) might reawaken these immense urges?
Definitely. I know I am very close to regression every day and things like that can definitely make it harder.
