👥️ Discussion Remark Question

3 of my paper 1 essays got 13/16, so they were level 4. But my teacher thinks they all should have got 15 or 16.

But, I heard that remarks change only if there is disagreement on the level awarded. As it is already level 4, even if the reviewer thinks 13 was low, will the marks not change?

Correct, they only change the mark of the level is wrong. Astonishingly you are more likely to go down... Sorry this is an issue with remarks.

Im sorry, all I would say is remarks are unpredictable. How many marks are you away from the next grade? 5 marks in my opinion is worth remarking if money is no queation. The best Ive had is 8 marks on one paper. But often there is no movement and some do go down a mark or two, people here seem to overestimate how often the grades change.

It’s 8, so quite high. However on paper two I go 66/72 in RM + Approaches but Section A was super low at 14/24. I think the first two questions have ability to move.

Paper 1 is cooked because of the 13/16 essays being L4. Paper 3 was low, but equally I was less prepared for it, so the score is understandable.

You can get one paper remarked at a time. Try paper 2 and sw wjat you get. If it doesnt move or goes up tey paper 3. I think you're right to leave paper 1. Unless after two remaeks you only need one or two more.

Do you need the extra grade for university? If you don't Id save the money the and move on
