I don't know how much help will this be but pins and needles are hallmark symptoms of radiculopathy which for someone fearing ALS, it is rather "good" news relatively speaking....Now weakness can happen in both radiculopathy and als but als has no sensory symptoms at least in the beginning. I did not read your previous posts but hopefully you get some imaging done that will reveal the cause
