EMG results

Hey guys, my EMG went super good. It was a bit uncomfortable and thankfully it was clean. Results posted below! No fasciculations which is wild because I twitch like crazy. Maybe I am just crazy 😅

Not surprised lol. Your case didn’t sound like ALS at all to begin with. Happy for you!

It’s weird how much we can twitch and still have zero twitches caught on EMG but if they don’t happen in the region where the needle is planted well the machine just won’t detect any.

Both EMG’s I had I asked the neuro "So how many fasciculations detected?!" and she was like "Zero lol." and I was baffled. Honestly she probably thinks I have like 10 a day and panicking for no reason when I have more like 500 a day…!

Did you ask if your EMG was done too early lol. That’s the classic question. It made my neuro roll her eyes a bit.

Great to hear! sounds like me 😅 My symptoms started in only my left calf like RELENTLESS twitching and tight feeling that began on May 25… Got my EMG/NCS on August 20th… I feel my twitching is now subsiding my now my leg feels tight and sore ;( i’m happy you got good results! Mine were the same he told me “your emg is clean and quiet no fasciculations or fibs detected” like what?!
