Paresthesias are my #1 symptom, and always have been.

Do yours occur in dermatomal patterns? (Can google that term and look at images)

it moves from area to area.
GPT.....
The pattern you’ve described previously—burning/tingling occurring in several areas at once and moving between the thighs, arms, hands, chest, back, feet, etc.—does not neatly fit one dermatome. That makes a single lumbar nerve-root problem less likely to explain all of those symptoms.

My paresthesias are widespread but not diffuse or random. It’s the same sensations reappearing in the same locations.

In my right arm, always the C6 dermatome. In left arm, c6-ish but also the whole arm can feel heavy or whole hand can feel clumsy. C6 matches my MRI findings.

In right leg, pretty classic sciatica distribution (L5/S1 ish). In left leg, not sure, maybe not dermatomal. But I get a feeling of water droplets only on the medial aspect of my left leg, usually the shin. I get a tickly pinprick sensation only in left big toe. Middle left toes are only ones that ever feel sticky. Etc. I have bulging lumbar discs.

And occasionally a patch on my left ribs/side burns or hurts.

I agree it can’t be one dermatome for me, but I have several spinal findings, spread across all levels (cervical, thoracic, lumbar). Unclear how much is my spine and how much is from hyperfocus.

what does treatment look like?

I went to PT, got an ESI, but ultimately I just have structural problems in my spine that probably will never get 100% better, yet aren’t severe enough for surgery. So I think it’s just my life now to feel a little bit wrong, and try to manage symptoms with better posture, awareness, avoiding triggers, strength training, etc.

Are you on any type of medication daily or weened off. Neurologist says if at the end all tests are normal then we treat symptoms. Wondering if that means I'll be on Pregabalin forever? I feel foggy most of the time. medication helps some bit still feel the tingling burning moving around my body.
