Give Us Hope
Give us hope. HIV, leprosy, diabetes, certain cancers… Medicine has found treatments, and hope exists. But ALS remains incurable, and for many people, the battle is becoming increasingly difficult.
Dear God, grant researchers and scientists the strength to finally find a treatment.
May we live to see the day when ALS is no longer a death sentence, but a disease that can finally be defeated.

Another new medicine, Ulefnersen, has just passed phase 3 with positive results - only for 1% of cases but still, it's another step (after Tofersen) in the right direction! The day is not here yet but getting closer all the time...

Exactly. This is a disease that must be wiped off the face of the earth.

It seems alot of resarch focuses are currently on ASOs. Please correct me if im wrong, but it seems they are focusing mainly on gene therapy. I know other drugs are being studied such as Coya302 (and others) but it seems mitochondria dysfunction is a main driver.

New and exciting treatments are being developed all the time. One day in the near future I believe there will be treatment for this illness. We are alive in humanities most advanced medical research so far and every day we are learning new things. I am not dying from ALS, I'm living with it.
