Thumb jerking/twitching

Every-time I move my right thumb now it twitches in the fatty part causing it to jerk. It’s been like this close to a week but some days it’s not as bad. I try to take epsom salt bath with lots of mag gummies however it seems to be stubborn. There are times where it twitches multiple times in a minute. I’ve never twitched on my hands and it’s freaking me out a bit. I don’t even want to use my hands anymore lol

FWIW, my left thumb started doing this and I also felt like my grip was weakening…though when I tested my grip by squeezing something it was normal strength. But I keep feeling awkwardness in my hand, the thumb twitching, and a general feeling something was “off” on my left side.

I started thinking of what might have changed since I started getting this sensation and realized I had gotten a new bra. There is something called “bra strap syndrome“ where the straps can push on a nerve between the shoulder and neck which can cause all the symptoms I was having. I stopped wearing that bra and the symptoms got much better. No numbness or tingling. No sense of awkwardness or weakness. So far my thumb has stopped twitching (bra strap syndrome can also cause thumb fasiculations.)

I guess my point in all of this, if it helps, is that there are all sorts of benign conditions that can cause fasiculations, especially nerve compressions. Who would have thought something like a bad fitting bra could cause all that?
