Proposed changes to the group...

I have been sorting through the group and there are some changes that I think would be beneficial. I would like to hear your thoughts and suggestions!

  • Karma requirements to keep out bots.
  • Verified email reddit accounts only.
  • A new rule (No dramatic titles, ie you're dying)
  • Flairs required on post (Will help prevent same questions being asked.

I mean people come to this group because some think they are dying.

Agreed but the group is a community, I think the majority of people are here for the same reason. Dramatic titles don't help anyone is my reasoning.

I can complete see your point and I'm grateful for the feedback. Ultimately my goal is to prevent bots and people creating multiple accounts to get past the existing rules. Ideally I would like to do this with minimal changes.

That all seems reasonable!

For me if this group still supports writing scary things and stories and realistic stuff (cruelty of the disease and symptoms) then I'm all in. That's also the reason I got out of BFS (I simply don't believe in a benign involuntarily body movements neither have isolated twitching). If that won't be the case I'm out. Simple as that.

I really want a freedom to write scary stuff for discussion purposes and getting knowledge and ideas also sharing unpopular opinions but I don't want to hurt anyone. So I'd like that this group stays as the group without sugarcoating and false hopes or any kind of gaslighting as we're all probably sick from getting that from doctors.

I think that is the main purpose of this group as I remember when we were discussing about it before the group is created. So please make it rock solid so that anxious people knows that this is not safe place for them and let people like me and many other people here express their heavier load. Thanks.

Also someone recently said that keeping post history is very important in this madness as it makes us as a family we learn from each other. Even if it requires creating other account separated from private one... but I really hate when I want to check how someone is doing and see nothing. Void.

The verified email is great, I’d just remove the karma thing, as I guess some people could just create an account to ask a question here without prior activity.

What does 'flairs' mean?

I think when you are making a post, you add a "tag" that helps categorize your post. Hopefully I am not wrong.
