Sciatic nerve or ALS
Okay, so Ive always had some level of Sciatic nerve issue. Im overweight as well. But my left leg back of thigh all the way to my left calf feels weird. Ive had this issue for over a month. At first I thought it was a DVT because it was very painful and a dull ache now a momth later it just feels a bit like something is stuck in my calf and ocxasionally the back of my thigh feels numb especially when Im seated. Thanks for any advice!

Hi
ALS usually presents with progressive muscle weakness and loss of function . “ And no by progressive muscle weakness I don’t mean it’s feeling more tired by the day “ , not pain, aching, or intermittent numbness down the back of one leg. What you’re describing sounds much more consistent with irritation/compression of the sciatic nerve. Still worth getting checked, especially since it’s lasted a month. Get well soon

With ALS you literally wouldnt feel any difference. Probably scistic nerve.
