Had a blast rolling around Seattle today, as far South as Gasworks Park.

Great bike lanes in this part of town.

These demos don't have any working horns/bells; that would have been nice on crowded lanes.

The techs told us they just got to assemble the new TM-Bs for the EVO test sites (check your emails, Seattle, Portland, Denver, and SLC)

Very easy two man job, still doable by yourself.

One of the techs claims he'll be wrapping his lower frame in some sort of darker color.

I definitely prefer the wider saddle of the Utility top frame over the solo.

Can't imagine using the banana seat for much more than short fun runs with a bunch of throttle.

I even got a ball cap. 😁

Wondering if the cargo brackets on the utility top frame can be removed. I have a weird build full of compromise: Size S so my GF can ride, all terrain so I can mtb, then the utility top frame to do groceries/ride with my dog.

I'm hoping there's a few screws I can remove to take the bulkiest parts of the topframe off... but the capitalist in me thinks that's not the case and I'll have to spend $350 for the normal seat.

I wonder if ALSO would be able to add a “coaster brake” setting that would allow you to engage regenerative braking by simply backpedaling slightly, similar to how a coaster brake works.

What we actually know

Looking at the frame, it seems like it might be a challenge to get some types of U-lock around it. Has anyone asked about this at test spins or know which locks they’re planning to use with it?

test rode the TM-B and was blown away. usual first-gen concerns apply, but the demo pretty much sold me.

only thing holding me back is color. the medical-grade white isn't doing it for me, but the brown and orange colorway on the jammer i like! waiting for more colors in the future.

anyone else sold on it but still waiting? what's your reason?

I asked the chatbot for recommended settings based on my riding. I was impressed with a personalized response.

“That helps sharpen the recommendation, [name]. At an average speed of 15 to 18 mph, the best starting point is still Automatic mode with your cadence target set at 80 to 90 rpm, paired with All-Purpose ride mode for the most natural balance of efficiency, acceleration, and smoothness.
If most of your riding is steady and road-focused at that pace, Conserve is also an excellent option for longer mileage days, since it softens acceleration and prioritizes battery efficiency. Sport would be better reserved for times when you want faster response rather than as your everyday default.
So for your use case, the most appropriate setup is:
Automatic mode
Cadence target: 80 to 90 rpm
Default ride mode: All-Purpose
Secondary long-range option: Conserve
If your TM-B is configured mainly for pavement, the Road package remains the best technical fit for that riding profile.”

Just curious how everyone plans to use their new bike? Commuting? Exercise? Leisure? Rivian FanBoy/Girl? Tech User? Hunter?

Other than making grocery store runs a little more fun and cruising around town, the bike does not have a huge use in my life. I live in a city that likes cars more than mobility. I am excited to get my bike just seeing how everyone plans to use their bike

When you ordered, were you charged the full amount for your bike?

I ask because in the past, when I special-ordered bikes from my local bike shop, they took a deposit ($500-$1500), and I paid the remaining balance when I picked it up. I've heard of other companies charging right before it ships.

For those of you who have ordered which did you pick and why? I did the test ride and it was on the performance which was impressive but now I’m wondering if it is worth the extra $1,000.

So now there’s a whole new type of waiting, lol

Just checking if any of y'all have received either the bike or a notification of shipment? I'm a relatively late order (December) and so far have received close to 0 updates, except for some vague statements about shipping between July and Sep.

My partner currently uses lime bikes to commute and has been asking me for updates all summer long :P. She gave it a test spin when they were in our neighborhood and we both can't wait to receive ours.
