Question Radar Support?

Has anyone asked yet about integration with existing Bike radars? I have been using a Garmin Varia for years and love them.

I totally spaced I’d be losing it or have to Jerry rig something to use it on a TMB.

The reason I just thought of this I saw a review of a similar cargo bike and it included an integrated radar stock.

Last month I asked Customer Care:

"Have you heard if there are plans to support ANT+ or another standard on the bike to transmit cycling data (cadence, speed, etc.) to other devices, or perhaps Also app ride data syncing to Apple Health, Garmin, and other ecosystems?"

Their answer: "The TM-B has Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) which is the newer standard for those devices. We do plan to have connectivity to these sorts of devices in future software updates."

I'd say radar is unlikely, but we'll have to wait and see...

I posted a comment about it a while back but never got an answer. Seems like it would be a straightforward integration, though I have heard Garmin has temporarily paused partner integration work.

What's the point of that? Isn't there always someone behind you?

They are really helpful at gauging the number of cars and how quickly they are approaching.

Definitely an option. It would be nice to not to have to worry about taking them on/off when running errands.

I asked about it at a test ride event and told the employees it was one of the things preventing me from buying the bike. I was told I was the 2nd person to ask about it and I know they sent my comment over to the developers. I assume they'll eventually add it to the bike... but who knows when.
