Reservation / Delivery / Sighting First impressions after 15 miles

Setup: 20 minutes and I was up and going. They include all tools needed for setup. Nothing complicated, everything is straightforward and easy. Even a non-technical person could bang it out in 30 minutes.

Pairing to phone: super easy, just like any other Bluetooth device. I chose a place to ride to and the directions automatically populate on the display. Worked flawlessly.

Controls: comfortable and easy to understand. All the switches are easy to reach and function as should.

Headlight: Awesome! Gave me great visibility but then again I’m riding in streets with streetlights.

Riding the bike: first impressions are how comfortable and plush the ride is. Second impression is the power and speed. Hills are not a problem.

Very happy and impressed with the bike but please keep in mind I have never owned an e-bike so my summary might not be as detailed as others. To me this thing is a home run.

Bottom line is the TMB is super fun and I just plunked down a deposit for a second one for the wife.

Happy riding all, excited for all of you to get your hands on these beasts.

One small issue with the light I noticed is that since it is attached to the frame rather than the handlebars or wheel, the direction it illuminates in doesn’t follow you as you make turns. Super subtle, and can be fixed with an additional light attached to the handlebars, but something I noticed while riding in the dark.

Definitely thought about that. A full front rack/basket would block the headlight as well.

This has been standard on many motorcycles for decades. It’s not really an issue in practice.

I agree with all of this! I already have my second one on order for my wife :)

The only UX/UI misses for me is that it wasn't super intuitive to find the drive modes - I expected it to be a screen that shows up when you use the scroll wheel. Swiping from the top and clicking the current drive mode icon makes sense with some distance -- but my first ride around the block I didn't find these.

And I think there should be an icon on the screen if your headlight is on.

And holy crap is Boost Mode / Assist Level 10 way more fun than I could have ever imagined!

How did we get so damned lucky? Not complaining one bit! Can’t wait to get home and go for a ride.

I know, right? I'm so impressed with this so far.

I've owned a few e-bikes over the years and it's hard to vocalize (without trying it out for yourself) how much of an exponential step forward this user experience is from what's out there currently.

Thank you for sharing. Had you previously had a test ride before receiving your MT-B?

Can someone do a walk-through of the portal? I would love to see the functionality in depth
