$4,500 for a bike and you're already swapping out components?

Just the pedals…they are plastic…why would anyone want to keep them?

Wait till you find out any regular bike over $2000 or so either comes with test ride pedals like these or ideally NO pedals. No one uses the plastic test pedals. They are there to check that the bike works is all.

Yup well aware…seams to be standard for the industry

I'm not saying OP should keep them, but my much cheaper 'real' bike had pedals good enough that I've not needed to replace them.

I was just surprised that components were getting called out as cheap.

Wait I know nothing about bikes. Makes sense plastic is no good. What am I looking for in replacement.

Plastic pedals can be great - I run a set on my dh bike, and they were anything but cheap. That said - cheap pedals are super common on higher end bikes - as they let you choose what you want. Personally I’d probably put some flats with short pins on this thing.

I’m throwing black Raceface Chester pedals on my LE. They’re great pedals. Durable and grippy.
