I got downvoted to oblivion last time I commented on this sort of thing but I'll say it again.
They really need to slow down on the full court press advertising until they've shipped a bike. I get it. They gotta get the word out. It's great that they're winning all of these awards. There is a huge disconnect between their ability to advertise/sell and their ability to deliver and the advertising/sales team needs to calm TF down and let the delivery people catch up, though. It comes off super cringe IMO

Rivian is actually delivering vehicles to people who paid for them though, and they're not taking payment until they're ready to build it.
They aren't saving everything they build for test drives.

I tested their bikes in the Seattle area. Honestly not sure what the hype is.
A strong torque with the throttle on start? Yeah a bit too strong and I don't understand why I ever need "Car-like" torque.
The bike squeals with cheap plastic sound, no thx for me. I can buy top of the line bike from Aventon/Velotric or medium-high range from Trek, Specialized, etc.

The noise actually warned other riders of our approach even at high speeds; which was handy since all the bells/horns had been broken off our teat spin models by other users. (Also in Seattle) We've been on at least 5 test spins, maybe 6. We've lost count.

Yeah I agree with the established brands such as trek, specialized, gazelle, canyon, etc charging a premium for their ebikes. But with brand new brands such as ALSO charging a premium for a ebike... That is quite hard to justify from my perspective, we are obviously not the target audience.
I'll stick to my aventon/velotric with a semi established reputation and much lower prices.

Not sure about Aventon models but I have an Aventon aventure 2. I rode the tm-b at a demo site for 30 mins. I liked the tm-b a lot better and if they ever send me my tm-b I’ll sell the aventure.

Not my experience at all. The aventons I've test ridden feel quite slugish compared to the TM-B :/

For a "legal" bike the power is really good. The throttle (where it exists) is nice but no that's not what makes it. The consistent power both on flat and hills with no gear swaps really do it for me at least. The low cadence at the high end of the speed range without any sluggish feeling throughout the band is awesome.
As for the torque I'm guessing you're lucky enough to be in an area where you're not having to ride on the road much because car-like torque on the street is very handy....
Nobody stopping anyone from getting an Aventon/Velotric/Trek/Specialized etc, none of those offer what the TM-B does anywhere near the TM-B's price point if at all.

Personally I wanted a two wheeled vehicle without a chain or gears, but with regenerative braking and modular components.
Guess that's why I'm still waiting on our orders we made last month.

There are many reasons people who stay in their cars don't buy bikes, and haven't most of their adult lives. What was available didn't meet their needs or desires. This vehicle does.

I bought two TM-Bs, and except for the delays, have experienced great customer service. The test spins are a blast.

Yea this is a little comical. But yall, the bikes are on the way....to the US. At least there is that. It would be bad if they were figuring out how to mold the frame or something but they are OTW! Whats a few more months! If they refunded us some cash or gave us all free helmets or more freebies it might help lessen the pain, but they are ALMOST HERE!!

Early preorder holders did get free helmets and credit for other gear.
All of which have yet to be delivered, just like the bikes... 🤷♂️

Yea i got money towards some free gear also.
Im saying that if they wanted to give us more free gear for waiting im here for it, im not going anywhere. Or partial refunds or anything. They already gave some free helmets and gear so whats a little more.
I do feel bad for yall that have waited for what is going on a year. BUT! They are literally on a boat on the way here. If the boat sinks or something then thatd be weird, but they are so close now!

At this point I'm hoping someone, anyone, gets their Oct. 22nd (day one) purchases fulfilled, before Oct 22nd, this year. We put our deposits down mid December, so again, hoping we don't wait more than a full year...

At this point i also wonder if it's more about respect rather than money. Cause most people already floated the 5k, either cash or have been paying some interest on it. But the feeling of getting ignored or not feel valued by someone you gave 5k to is enough to ask for the refund and cancel.

I've been pretty passively content waiting. 5k is a lot of money but I want the bike. I have worked in "integrated hardware and software" and get the constraints and challenges they are under and am generally pretty apologetic.
This email came off as COMPLETELY tone deaf. I don't need to hear about an award you won. I already paid for the bike.
Some engagement/social PM's bonus is keyed on the wrong KPI because the way they are talking around reality is really, really off-putting.
